Chapter Six

Emma's P.O.V
When I walked into the school I immediately saw Tommy. He walked over to me and smiled. Even though I had a bad morning I smiled back.

"Hey Emma." He greeted.

"Hey Tommy." I greeted back.

*After school*

I was about to start walking home when Mason grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the car.

"What did you mean this morning?" He questioned on the way home.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I mumbled. Emily gave me a look like she knew that I was lying.

"Emma you need to tell me before you have to talk to the others." He ordered.

"Actually no I don't. And by the way I'm not going to talk to the others."

"Emma what is going on?" He asked just as we pulled into the driveway. I said nothing and jumped out of the car as he parked. I ran inside and was about to go up to my room when Ethan stepped in front of me.

"Go sit down on the living room. We need to talk." I was going to argue but the look on his face made me follow his orders. I sat down on one of the couches next to Emily and Jason. They were the only ones who didn't get very mad at me.

"What did you mean this morning?" Blake asked.

"I have no idea what you are talking about."

"What did you mean when you said that we didn't care" Ethan asked.

"I never said that." I lied.

"Don't lie. You said that. What did you mean?" Suddenly, I started crying. I just kept thinking about the message. My brothers all looked surprised. I usually didn't cry in front of them.

"I can't tell you." I sobbed. Jason pulled me into a hug.

"What is going on Emma? You can tell us."

"No I can't. It's not even that big of a deal. I'm sorry for saying that this morning. I have a lot of homework so if you'll excuse me." I got up and ran up the stairs into my room. I didn't have any homework but I needed an excuse. Thankfully nobody stopped me. I payed down and before I knew it, I was asleep.

Sorry that it is so short. I have a lot going on at school.
