Loki and I sat in the corner of the cafeteria at an empty table.  Less than a minute after we sat down, all the Avengers joined us. I rolled my eyes and started playing with fire again. Stark is glaring at Loki, same with all except Thor. Thor was trying to get him to talk to him. I sigh.

"So, Nat, you got what I requested?" I say,

She pulls out a bag and tosses it to me. I open it and pull out 2 books. Breakfast at Tiffany's and Frankenstein. I smile and turn my hair to green fire and glare at Stark. "What?" he asks clueless.

"Be gone, peasant. Along with the rest of you," I say. They all leave except Thor, Nat and Clint. I roll my eyes and start reading Breakfast at Tiffany's.

"What are you reading?" Loki asks, curiously.

"A book call Breakfast at Tiffany's. It's kind of girly and lame but it is said to be good. You can read Frankenstein if you would like," I say. I know he loves reading so might as well let him read my favorite classic. He grabs the book and looks at it before starting to read. Clint takes the food off my tray and Loki's tray is already empty. Nat and Clint start talking about how it is a big mistake letting me hang with a god.

"She is going to fall in love wi-" I freeze their mouths.

"Silence. We're reading," I say. Loki smirks a little.

About twenty minutes later, Dad walks in.

"Ruby, get to work!" he yells. I roll my eyes and put my book in my bag.

"Come on, Loki," I say and Loki hands me the book. I slip it in my bag and we head to the weight and training room. I know the rest of the Avengers are going to be watching. As we are walking, I say," Okay so, we need to test your strength. I assume you can't lift as much as Thor or Hulk, but you probably can do more than Banner and Clint."

"That's a good assumption," He says, smirking. My dog runs up to me and I pick him up. "Who's this little guy?"

"This is a dog that I found while you were destroying New York. I named him Tesseract," I say as he licks my hand. "Your eyes were blue when you were under the power of the tesseract. They're green now and normally, right?" I ask.

"You are very observant," he says, "I was out of control of my own actions,"

"I figured. You don't seem stupid enough to go against Thor. Or a whole realm," We make it to the weight and training room.

"For the record, I can beat Thor, " Loki says.

"In most way, yeah. Not in physical strength," I say and lead him to the first thing. A bench press thingy. My dog jumps out my arms and starts attacking exercise balls. I throw a bolt of lighting at the observation glass and it shatters revealing all the Avengers. "Be gone, Slut!" I yell. All except Thor and Nat leave. "You two, too!" Nat sighs and pulls Thor away. "Idiots," I mumble. Loki smiles.

~2 hours later~

Loki has proved to be stronger than I thought. The final exercise is hand to hand combat. I slip into the ring and Loki is close behind. Within seconds we are throwing punches and dodging each other. I get a few hits in before he hits me. We are a fairly evened match. By the end, we have to call it a draw. We get out the ring and both sit on a bench. I toss him a water bottle, making it cold with my powers.

"You're better than you look," I say.

"I trained with Thor for years. I never once thought I would be matched by a mortal though,"he says.

Dad and Thor walk in, "Agent Fury, tomorrow you can get back to the work shop. Don't let Loki work on to powerful of machines. Loki, you will have a choice. Would you like to have a room beside Thor or Ruby?"

"Ruby would be a safer option for everyone," he says. I was busy jumping around. I loved working in the shop. I couldn't wait to finish my siren. I wanted to test it tomorrow.

"Ruby will show you to your room. Then take you to Thor seeing as he wants to talk. Ruby will be present for the talk because I don't trust you alone with Thor," Dad says and I roll my eyes. Loki nods. Thor and Dad leave. I grab my bag.

"Lets show you to your room," I say.

"Why are you so happy about working in a work shop?" he asks as we walk out.

"Well, the work shop is where I belong. I am a master at building crazy machines to destroy any threat. I wanted to do it all my life. My favorite creation is what I need to finish and test tomorrow," We make it to our rooms. I show him the pass code, and where everything is. I also toss Frankenstein onto his bed before we leave to Thor's room. "You don't actually hate him, do you?"

"...No. He just had everything so much easier than I did. I had to work 100 times harder than he did just to end up way below him," he admits.

I smile at him. "I have a older brother. He is a jackass. He walked up to our dad and asked for enough money to live on the other -side of the world. He got enough to buy the world. I asked for a tool set to fix my car that I built myself. I was told to get a job. I stole a key to the workshop. I was considered a crappy mechanic because I was a girl. So on my first day, I fixed everyone's project in the first hour. There was over 40 things. I was still called lesser but I didn't listen. When you nearly exploded the whole place, I was the first one called to fix everything. I changed everyone's idea of me. I made everyone see me as their equal or superior," I say.

"Wow... wait, humans think females can't be better or greater than males?"

"The male population on earth has made me lose faith in ever falling in love," I say as we make it to Thor's room.
