I knock on Thor's door and he lets us in. I take a seat in the corner of the room. Loki stays standing as Thor hugs him.

"What do you want, Thor?" Loki asks. He sighs and looks to his younger adopted brother.

"I want the old you back. We were watching as you were training. When you and Lady Rubi- Ruby- were fighting, that was the first time in a really long time that I saw the you that still believed in himself and still called me his brother," Thor says.

Loki looks at him, "That wasn't me. That was a bunch of lies."

I lean forward in my seat. "Aren't you the god of mischief and lies? What's the difference whether you are or aren't from Asgard? I was born with the ability to control so many different things. I highly doubt that I am just a normal Midgardian child. I still love my brother. I hate my father. For my own reasons. But from what I read up on, he saved you from death. So what if you didn't know. Who cares about a throne?! I run a whole ship without being in charge of it," I say to Loki then turn to Thor, "You are a terrible excuse for a brother and a future king. You let your little brother take you down so easily. I mean yeah he's actually a better fighter than you but you let him fall into a black hole of pain and suffering when you have a magic hammer and can fly and shit," They are both shocked.

"She called me a better fighter than you!" Loki says triumphantly.

"How is he a better fighter?!"

"You were watching as we trained. He doesn't even have magic. I have beat you in seconds with and without magic. We had to call it a draw. Just because he isn't as physically strong doesn't mean he isn't too smart for his own good," I say.

"Ha!" Loki yells.

"Go away both of you!" Thor whines.

*Loki's P.O.V.*

The way she is just so free with her opinion. The way she is on my side while also showing that she is a badass. The way she doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. The way she has made her way to the top by herself. Her green flame of hair and her brown natural looking disguise for hair. Her perfect fucking eyes. Her smile. Her laugh. Her intelligence. Her confidence. Her body. Her spirit. Her knowledge of me. Her style. Her. It is all perfect. She is everything anyone would ever want. But not me. No. I don't want her.

I need her.

We walked out of Thor's room. I glace back at him with a smirk, showing that I knew I won.

"So Ruby, what's your favorite thing to read?" I ask.

"Frankenstein. The book I gave you. Besides that, probably something about you. Or well just the Norse gods in general," She says.

"What do you know about me?" I ask.

"I don't really know anything. I know the legends and myths that Midgardians have heard," She says, looking at me. "Wanna see something amazing?" I nod. She pulls me to the elevator and presses the top button.

"Ask me anything you want and I'll tell you if it's true," I say as I leave against the wall.

"Do you have a son named Fenrir that happens to be a giant adorable wolf?" she says. I smile and nod.

"Yeah, and I miss him so much," I smile at her eyes as they light up. "He is currently being looked after by my mother. I have been trying to see him for a year,"

"Did you really fuck a horse?" She says. I cringe slightly and nod. "And have a son?" I nod again. "Is he a badass just like his mother, the goddess of lies?" she teases me.

"Shut up and no. He is a complete angel. He would love it here," I say. She keeps asking me about my monsters.

"Were you married?" I shake my head.

"No. I have never even been in a real relationship before," I say.

"Am I adorable?" she asks suddenly. I look at her and she is smiling like a weirdo.

"Yes. You are adorable, Ruby," I say. She does a little dance being weird. We make it to the top and she pulls me to the edge. We are in the water. She sits down with her feet hanging off and then pat beside her. I sit and then she and I lay back. She points up at the sky.

"Every tiny spec is probably a star. It's so big. I would love every struggle, the terrible experience that it may or may not be, just for the chance to go into space," she says. (Anyone know where that's directly from?)

"Once I am trusted enough with magic, I can take you," I say. I figure that if I promise her something she would love that she would also love me. That how that works, right?

"Really?!" She asks looking at me. I nod. She hugs me. "If you weren't a fucking god, I'd kiss you!" she says.

"Why does it matter that I'm a god?" I ask.

"Are you saying that you want me to kiss you?" She says.

"Are you avoiding my question?" I ask. Nice one me!

She sighs. "Gods live for so much longer than humans. If I did kiss you, it would be like a child with cancer telling a teenage they love them," she says. I read her mind really quickly. She does want to kiss me but is afraid that if she does then it'll hurt when I don't like her like that. I smile and kiss her.
