Carlee
3 Weeks Later

Walking into one of the many skyscrapers in downtown LA, I headed to the elevator and hit the button. It was finally time for me to start building my company. This was all that I was focused on. This and my family.

Climbing on the elevator, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I'm so nervous about doing this on my own. Even though I've basically been running Chris's business on my own, it was still his.

My phone buzzed in my purse. I pulled it out and glanced at the screen. It was a call from Chris's rehab facility. The therapist there has been trying his hardest to get me to come see him and have a session but no. After that man told me he has been cheating and doing drugs for the past 7 years. There's nothing that could make me visit him or have a fucking therapy session. Fuck him.

Shaking away that negative energy, I focused back on the important task ahead. The elevator came to a stop and the doors opened. I walked over to the front desk. "Hi, I'm Carlee Br- I'm sorry Carlee Rodgers and I'm here to see Michael." If you're wondering this is the Michael that we helped back in New York.

"Yes, he's expecting you. I'll let him know you're here. You can have a seat in the lobby."

I nodded then went to have a seat. My phone began to buzz again. I checked it because it could be my daughter's school but nope it's that damn therapist. Sliding over the answer button I placed it to my ear.

"Hello." I answered.

"Hi, I'm looking for Carlee Rodgers."

"Speaking."

"Finally, I got ahold of you. My name is Dr. Richards. I counsel Chris. Apart of his treatment is to have a session with you and one with your children. He wanted me to contact you about bringing your daughter some time next weekend and to see when we could schedule a time for us to meet."

"Uuuum, If my sons agreed to come, they'll bring her. As for me, that won't be happening."

"May I ask why?"

I sighed. "Dr. Richards, I'm a little busy right now. My daughter will be there but for me the answer is no."

He exhaled. "Okay. Well thank you for your time, Miss Rodgers."

"Thank you."

The phone hung up and I tossed it back in my purse.

"Carlee." Michael called.

Smiling, I stood up. "Michael."
