Jacky's POV:
When I woke up, Ryan was still asleep. I lay my head back down on his chest, curling up closer, falling back to sleep. I must’ve gotten closer than expected, because I was woken up with a confused Ryan asking “Jacky, what the fuck?” I look up and realize we’re all tangled up in each other’s arms, my leg even laying across his stomach.“Oh, gosh, I’m sorry, Ryan.” I say, a little panicked. “I’ll go make us some breakfast.” I start to get up, but Ryan grabs my wrist, pulling me back down to the bed.
“Stay.” He says in a somewhat demanding voice. It was kind of sexy. I didn’t think anything of my feelings for him as, you know. I’m never going to be allowed back into Heaven anyways, so I may as well have some fun. I lay back down next to him and he starts to stroke my hair again. I love it when someone plays with my hair. It’s very relaxing. “So, what did you wanna do today?” He asked, softly. I shrugged.
“Whatever you wanna do.” I replied, looking up at him. He just smiled at me.
“Okay, then… How about we go for another walk? In the park.” I smile in agreement and lightly peck his lips. Much to my surprise, however, I found that when I moved away, Ryan pulled my head closer to him again and kissed me back, passion flowing through his end of the kiss as I began to melt into it. He runs his pointed tongue down my bottom lip, asking for entrance. I give him permission and, without hesitation, he lets his tongue inside of my mouth. The kiss lasted a good five minutes, or it seemed to have. We break our kiss, only for me to want more. I could tell he’s trying to be good, going by the way he defended me yesterday. He’s soon to earn it.
“Wow, I never knew you were that passionate.” I let my thoughts slip. He just laughs in a hushed manor, but with demonicism still laced throughout. “Would you like to get ready for the park now?”
Ryan nodded and sat up. He looked at me in an almost seductive manor. I teased him a little by lifting my shirt. His sexy smile soon turned into one of confusion and worry. I forgot I had a scar on my stomach from where Darius stabbed me after he’d bewitched me. Ryan must’ve taken note of it. “It’s nothing, really.” I said, smiling faintly.
“Nothing?” He questioned. I could tell he was concerned as to what had happened.
“When Darius knew I found out about the spell he placed on me, he didn’t seem to want to let me go.” I explained. I didn’t want Ryan to worry, but I could tell by the look on his face, he wanted to know more. “He stabbed me… He had an angel blade. I dunno how he got it, either. Ronnie managed to stop him and… We thought he was gone after that. But I think he just went undetected for a while. Hiding in shadows until he knew I was going to become an outcast from Heaven.” That’s when it struck me: Emily. We needed to go find her.
“Let’s save the park for another day.” It was almost as if Ryan was reading my mind. I think he’s finally warmed up to me, he’s actually being nice now. “We gotta go look for your friend.” With that, he grabbed my wrist, barely giving me a chance to put my shirt back down and dragged me out of the door. He and I drove over to where Darius lived. “OPEN THE DOOR!” He screamed angrily, pounding on the wooden door. No answer. I soon remembered there was a key under the mat. As I lift the corner of the welcome mat, sure enough, there was the key. I managed to get Ryan to stop banging on the door and unlock it. We walked in, only to find the place empty. Did Darius know we were out looking for him? Then it came to me.
“The park.” Ryan looked at me, confused. “The old tree, do you know about it?” I nodded. It’s a portal to an abandoned shop in London. “He must’ve gone through there.” With that, Ryan and I left for the park. We ran through the pathway out to an old oak tree. I placed my hand upon the trunk, not expecting anything to happen. Sure enough, nothing. Ryan reached up and touched the tree and, much to my surprise, the portal opened. I didn’t know it worked for anyone else besides angels. Pastel pinks and purples flooded the opening as Ryan and I walked through. Only a matter of minutes later, we had arrived in an old wooden shack. Darius was standing in the middle of the room.
“You really are a dumb angel, aren’t you, Jacky?” Darius asked. I could feel Ryan tense up in anger. “You know what I’m capable of, you know I have an angel blade. Yet here you are.”
“Where’s Emily?” I shouted.
“Temper, temper. You wouldn’t want to mess up that pretty little angel smile of yours, now would you?” As if that’s all I was, just a pretty smile to him. I couldn’t help but think of how he used to say that he loved me. I clenched my fists. I’d never wanted to hit someone, but I made the mistake of taking a swing at Darius. Dodging my fist, he became angry. I grew nervous as I could hear him begin to mutter a spell. Witches have no other abilities than casting their spells, so faced with a fully-empowered Godslayer apprentice, it was a stupid decision on his part. Before he could finish it, however, Ryan became violent. He reached a hand out for Darius’ neck, lifting him off the ground. His strength was so evil and hot. He said something in Latin, the language of the demons. Darius seemed to go lifeless, but he was still aware. Soon after, tearing into the witch’s chest, pulling out his beating heart and throwing it onto the floor. Ryan then proceeded to ripping Darius in half via his skull, his blood covering Ryan’s body. To be honest, I have never really been so turned on before. He dirtied himself up in such a way just to protect me. Ryan turns to face me, his eyes still red with anger, matching his facial features that were covered in dark witch blood. Yet, I feel no fear of him. My eyes and mouth are wide open, yet no words come out, and no fear was sensed. I attacked Ryan with a kiss on his lips. He immediately kissed back and, without exchanging words, I let him know I was ready. He lifted me up against the old wall of the forsaken shop as I wrapped my legs around his waist. I’ve never felt anything like this before. I never really had sex before, it was forbidden for angels, but this was something special... Because Ryan was special, to me.

After Ryan and I finished our fun, we both sat on the couch in the middle of the room, next to each other. I cuddled up to him. At first, I didn’t think he’d like it. “I’m gonna go get some water, be back soon.” I said, shortly before standing up. In the same fashion as when we were in bed last night, Ryan grabbed my wrist, pulling me back down and lightly kissing my lips.
“Stay.” He said softly. He was really starting to care about me, wasn’t he? I smiled and cuddled back up to him. I lay my head down on his bare chest and he wraps his arms around me, gently stroking my hair once more. “You really seem to like this.”
“Yeah.” I purred. “It’s very relaxing to me.”
“I wish we could stay like this forever, Jacky.”
“Me too.” A brief minute of silence went by until I looked up at him. “Ryan?”
“Yeah, baby?”
“What about my soul?” Ryan looked at me, confused. “The one you needed to return to your King.”
“Oh, SHIT!” He stood up. Casting some sort of spell, he conjured Darius’ soul. I grew frightened as I watched what was happening. He then chanted something else in Latin, causing the witch’s spirit to catch fire. I could hear a scream that could only have been from Darius’ now burning spirit. A moment later, it had vanished. The flames, the soul, everything. Ryan walked back over to me, sitting back down, as if nothing had just happened. “You okay?” He asked, wrapping his arms around me once more.
“Yeah. What just happened?”
“I sent the witch’s soul to the King Godslayer. That’s what happened.”
“Won’t he notice that it’s not mine, though?”
“Probably, but I’m ready for whatever he throws at me.” He looked to the wall as he spoke, then back at me. “Whatever he throws at us.” He corrected himself, then smiled. This time, his smile was almost human. He’s turning good; I can feel it.
