Chapter 8

Megan Pov*

i woke up the next morning to birds chirping. how nice is this i never got to experience something like this its nice. sadly it was short lived because there was one less body in my tent then there should be. Megan is missing. i quickly get up and start searching around for her. i soon realize that she isnt in my camp so i leave and head towards the main camp. daryl is gone i cat find lily and im freaking out. " megan" i heard glenn call " what" i said worried " shes in the kitchen and daryl is out looking for sophia" he said knowingly. " thank you" i said running into the house. i got into the the house and ran into the kitchen. i stopped at the door and looked at lily helping lori cook some some type of food.

she and the other women noticed me standing in the door way with a worried look on my face. " megan sweetie are you ok" lori asked " um yeah I-I just was looking for nevermind" i said and turned around to go back to my camp " hey you should help us cook, it would mean alot" maggie said " i-i dont" i stuttered " you dont have to make anything hard you can help us bake"  beth said trying to convince me " i would b-but i dont know howw" i said looking down.

" you never baked with your mom" lori questioned " um i never did anything with my mom" i said embarrassed. "well then i guess i will have to be your step in mom then" lori said which scared me because of what my mom was like. "um i" i said looking down. Next thing i know i feel her grab my arm and i instantly flinch away getting worried and curious looks from all the women in the kitchen.

I quickly cover it up and agree to help them hoping they forget. a little while later i hear a gun shot and we all rush out to see what happened. i see rick and Shane walking towards the house with Daryl unconscious. " WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO" i yelled running up to daryl moving his head to see blood. " kid calm down, he just got shot" shane said trying to calm me down. "he just got shot you say it so casually" i scoffed.

i follow them into the spare room and stay with daryl. we sit there a while when Hershel comes in and starts to sew up his side and patch up his head. "hey kid you do-" he started " why did you do it why did out go out there, you could have died" i cut him off " come on kid you are overreacting" he said " am i am i daryl, cause i think im reacting properly, you got shot with one of your arrows and a bullet in one day and you think im overreacting" i say " come on kid dont do this not now" he grumbled and i stood up and slammed the door.

*few hours later* 

Everyone is eating dinner and I watched Carol bring food up to Daryl so I gave Lily the rest of my food and stood up. "Megan sweetie your done" Lori asked me " um I'm full" I said "you didn't eat all that much are you sure you are ok are you feeling well" she asked " um I'm fine I'm gonna go back to my tent" I said walking out the door.

Lori pov*

we where all eating our dinner when Megan gave Lily the rest of her food and started to leave "Megan sweetie your done" I asked "um I full" she said
"you didn't eat all that much are you sure you are ok are you feeling well" I said "um I'm fine im gonna go back to my tent" she said leaving.

"that girl has some problems" Shane jokes "it's nowt funny" Lily said "what" he asked "it's nowt funny you downt know what my swissy has been through so weave her awone" Lily angrily said.

After dinner Lily went up to the room with Daryl to sleep. I don't know why but I feel like I needed to go check on Megan. so I walked out to where Megan's camp was. as I got closer I heard cries and instantly got worried so I ran over to her tent. I opened it to see her crying in her sleep.

"hey hey Megan sweetie wake up" I said shaking her awake. when she woke up she instantly pulled away like she was afraid of something I wonder why.

Megan pov*

I woke up to Lori shaking me what was she doing in my tent. "hey sweetie what's wrong" Lori asked " nothing sorry I just have nightmares" I said laying back down " you still have nightmares" she asked "ya it's fine I'm used to dealing with them alone" I said "you could go now I'm fine" I sighed.

"ok well tell me if you need anything ok" she said "sure thing" I drifted off to sleep after that.
