Isabella looked at herself in the long mirror. She couldn't believe the girl on the dress was her.It was indeed a very beautiful dress and if it wasn't for her self consciousness she would of said that she was beautiful.
The deep red off shoulders dress Morgana gave her fell until the floor with a small tail following behind it.The front cut was low but in a fancy sweatheart shape, making her bosom a little more visible than other times. A cotton black belt with golden trimming was around her waist. The sleeves were long and designed v's in the ends but she was able to use her hands since the fabric from the inside of her elbow was shorter. Her whole back was exposed until her lower waist with only a small string tied to hold the dress in place. Her dark brown hair cascaded down her back and shoulders.A beautiful silver pendant in a shape of a dragon hung from her neck, her mother's.It definitely hugged her curves. She was definitely awestrucked with herself.
Adventures aren't created only by swords but by dresses as well.
After making sure that everything was in place she took a deep breath. It was going to be a long night. She wasn't exactly comfortable in the dress. An advantage of breeches was that she could carry her sword with her but now she had to unfortunately leave it in her room. She stroked the pendant on her neck and exited the room while closing the door behind her. Here goes nothing, she thought.
She walked towards Morgana's room. She had promised her she would definitely visit her when she was ready. She was lucky she didn't run to anyone she knew in the palace.Upon reaching her door a shocked Guinevere welcomed her."Do I look so funny?"she asked as she walked inside her shoes clicking on the floor."No,no you look stunning. If you ask me more beautiful than Morgana in this dress."
"I heard that Gwen."Morgana said with a smile on her face as she walked from behind her divider. She was dressed in a long purple and blue dress with a silver headpiece, much more beautiful than herself."Well look at you,so much beautiful in this than those worn out breeches. Now head high, back straight and let's impress the crowd."she gave her a smile as the three of them exited the room.
It didn't take them much time to reach the Throne room.Isabella had to take a small breath before entering again. How hard would it be to walk around in a dress. She kept her back as straight as possible and walked slowly, her hips swaying softly. She definitely caught a knight or two winking at her as she passed beside them.Maybe wearing a dress wasn't so bad.
Finally spotting in the crowd the familiar face she was looking for she headed his way."Good evening Gaius."she said as she joined his side. The feast hadn't began yet or so she thought.People were already downing wine and looking drunk.More and more important people filled the room while the two Kings discussed with each other quietly.
"My goodness Isabella I didn't recognize you there for a moment."Gaius said with a surprise expression."I thought you said you didn't like dresses."He smiled softly.
"Morgana made me wear it."she looked at her where she was sitting in front of her on her throne as she gave her a bright smile in return.
"Ah."Gaius said with a nod as he looked around the room."Um-""He's hiding."
"Pardon?"
"You were going to ask where's Merlin right? He's hiding."Isabella raised a dark eyebrow."Why?"She ignored his late comment about her asking where the young warlock was.
Just then around from a pillar next to her a head popped.Or more like a hat with feathers.Isabella had to bite her lip not to laugh out loud.Merlin was wearing Camelot's uniform but with a long red cape and feather hat on his head.Probably Arthur's touch. It actually suited him.Adorable."Nice hat."She commented as he walked out of it and tried to make himself small in the huge crowd.
