The sun stood high and proud above her the day of the tournament. It wasn't necessarily hot but a small chill was in the air.People throughout all Camelot was erratic about today's festivities. The tavern she was at was bustling with people that morning.Already making their bets in favor or against some of the champions, amongst them Arthur's name.

She didn't find it appealing to bet on someone.Besides there would be a fifty percent luck if you either lost or won.She preferred to keep her gold inside her pockets and spend it in something more useful.

As she leaned against a nearby wall, she scanned the crowd around. She didn't exactly expect so many people to actually come and see.Back in her camp the only people that watched her or other members to fight were some of her friends and maybe once or twice some of the elder one's.Druids didn't believe that sparring with a blade against someone was something that would give you honor, they were peacemakers after all.Even defence magic was something they didn't quite enjoy.

But only Isabella knew how much adrenaline it gave her to fight with someone.Yes magic was useful and all but it required a piece of her soul as well which in most cases she wasn't patient enough to concentrate, which guided in pulling her blade out.

A guard with the Camelot's uniform passed in front of her, taking his position a few meters away from her. This time there was no cape but a rather big helmet on his head.Apparently the cape situation was for the people joining the tournament.

She wanted to join all this and experience victory, even against Arthur again but she doubted a woman could join. She did have the idea of disguising herself as a man but then she would never hear the end of it from Gaius.

She turned her head and looked at the rest of the place, her gaze scanning over the training grounds, where tents were placed and men polished their armor, swords or took a rest before the tournament began. She also caught a glimpse of Merlin helping Arthur in which she scoffed lightly.Even from this far away she could spot his displeasure for the warlock.

Crossing her arms and turning her gaze away, she continued scanning the arena.Even the seat arrangement was divided. The King had a chair for him only and some of his guards while everyone else was sat in rows a few inches away.In the front row across from her she caught Guinevere along with the black haired woman from the other night.

Suddenly a few drums and horns started to play, informing everyone that the tournament began.Isabella stood just a bit more straighter and waited patiently. The arena filled with men dressed in colorful armor and robes.Seriousness written on every individual's face. She didn't knew that that would happen on Arthur as well. Her lip quirked ever so slightly when she saw the bruise across his chin. She really wanted to hear what excuse he had for it.

The audience clapping in the whole process, and cheering for them. She noticed some of them stood more proudly, nodded a few times around as the crowd kept applauding, while making two straight lines across from where the throne was placed. The sound ceased when the King strutted inside the arena. His red cape billowing behind him,as he stood across them. She really wondered how a man of his status really enjoyed watching this kind of festivities while his son's life was at stake.

"Knights of the realm,it's a great honour to welcome you to a tournament at Camelot."Uther began."Over the next three days, you will come to put your bravery to the test, your skills as warriors, and of course,to challenge the reigning champion,my son,"he paused slightly to look over at him standing quietly."Prince Arthur.Only one can have the honour of being crowned champion, and he will receive a prize of 1,000 gold pieces."In a far away table a large chest opened to reveal the prize.Lord, that was a lot of gold.Shining under the bright sun.All the knights took a glimpse but she was sure from the inside they were all craving it.
