Her mouth was pressed tightly together as the guard in front of her kicked the door down and entered the house with force."With order of the King we need to search this place for any kind of sorcery!"exclaimed the man as he teared the place down along with two other guards.

She stayed outside looking over at Arthur's back.He was more calmly asking around civilians about any kind of magic going around town, but nothing seemed to have been seen yet.If someone indeed had magic then he would hide it very well. Her and Merlin being the two best examples. If anybody outside the castle walls learnt about them both having magic then their heads would roll around.

The guard eventually left the house, shooting a look over his shoulder."This one's clean."he announced before he moved down the muddy road and into another house.Isabella just kept staying outside, barging on people's house and finding if someone had sorcery wasn't a way to find who did it.This was barbaric.

Sorcery be damned this illness was spreading one way or another and by forcing themselves inside their houses would most likely spread it faster.

"Did you find anything yet?"asked Arthur as he joined her side, cutting her train of thought.

"No,"she simply replied her eyes squinting slightly from the bright sun above."And I doubt if we will find anything this way. They are terrorizing the people here. One reason better for anyone who has magic to flee immediately."

Arthur gave her a look before shaking his head."These aren't my orders."

"But you follow them."Isabella said as she looked at the other guard beside her starting to rummage through some benches with various goods.

"They are my King's orders-"

"And you are a prince. If it is a good time to give orders it would be during the panic of this day."Isabella cut him,her low ponytail resting on her shoulder as she turned sharply to look at him."By looking through every house you won't find anything. Not like this at least."she didn't leave room for any other word as she walked down the road away from him.

Yes she was talking down to him but he was a man that needed to put himself in the position of giving orders as well.He would be the future King of this place for Lord's sake. And also the nerve of that man asking her to pretend she was in love with him.She pitied the poor girl that actually would marry him.

The more she thought about it the more she got mad and the more she got mad the more she stomped around. Why was she even bothering on a subject like this? There was an illness going around and people dying. That was much more important than Arthur and his fine ideas.

She did a few more patrols in the lower town, and hopefully she didn't cross Arthur again, before making her way back towards the castle and Gaius's chambers. She at least would have someone to understand her.

She knocked on the door lightly and entered.Io and behold Merlin and Gaius were there examining something she couldn't see."Any luck yet?"she asked as she closed the door behind her and moved towards the two.

"No not yet unfortunately, but I'm examining the contents of that man's stomach."said Gaius as he twirled a vial filled with white liquid. That didn't look that appealing since it had a very white and disgusting color.

"Will that tell you who did it?"asked Merlin as they both watched him pour another vial filled with a red liquid into the white one.

"No,but it might tell us how it's spread."he lowers his vials for a moment to look at them both."One thing I do know, this is magic of the darkest kind."

"Why would someone use magic like that?"asked Merlin, his bright face filled with confusion and disappointment.

"Magic corrupts.People use it for their own ends."answered Gaius as he worked more on his vials.
