Aaron settled in his seat, the upholstery of his seat decorated in dark twists set in a beige backdrop, "I've spent years fixing him and Xavier up so I would assume I'd be used to." He thought in remembrance before adding, "Though most of their injuries were caused by each other." An easy smile always present on his lips as he remembered the years they've spent together.
Though he wasn't much for conversation he felt it would be disrespectful to not comply to the words Leonan spoke, he didn't completely want the other man to dislike him, no matter how much he himself didn't enjoy the presence of the other, "You think yourself nothing more than an ornament? Than I must not be more than a tree decoration." Slight anger behind his voice. Leonan was receiving a job similar to his own, it was important and to have the man talk of it so casually, angered himself more than he'd like.
He now watched him with a cold indifference, however his eyes slightly warmed at the mention of Mateo, "He is the most hardworking and capable man I know, trust my opinion in that of grown up with him since we were no more than a babe." He paused allowing his eyes to close as memories flash before his eyes, "For the past 20 years he has never asked something from someone without knowing he has the ability to do it himself. He puts his men and his people before himself, which is why I believe they trust him so full heartedly." A soft smile on his lips, he opened his eyes and looked at Leonan, "You saw what he was wearing, yes? In comparison to everyone else it would be as if he were wearing nothing." He shook his head slightly, looking down at his hands, his eyebrows lightly furrowing, "That may be his only weakness, that he is selfless to a fault."
He looked back up through his eyelashes, his face slowly molding back into one of uninterest, he slowly leaned back up straight, the animatedness of his being leaving, returning back to stone, "The only reason I share this with you is for you to better understand your now most closest ally. I hope you won't make me regret it."

Mateo walked by another uniform door, goosebumps rose on his flesh as he felt the air was slowly beginning to chill. He placed a hand over his exposed pectoral and turned the hallway, assuming it was getting dark and not the weather had changed, he was giving up on finding the kitchen, the place was too massive. He would just return to the others and ask for direction, better yet the castle couldn't be one hundred percent deserted and Leonan's room probably had bells to ring for atleast one person.Turning around he went to follow the path he came by before he heard the soft crackle behind the door he had passed by earlier. Curious he softly pushed open the door, smiling widely he walked in towards the mantel when he saw the soft embers of the flame. Giving an exagerated bow to the women in the picture he raised his hands to warm them on the heat from the hearth.
