(Ps I love Grey's Anatomy)
Part 1/3
Third Person POV
Y/N Y/L/N is the daughter of the incredible surgeon Melody Y/L/N. She began an internship at Seattle Grace Hospital, hopefully discovering what specialty she's best at.
All that almost crashed and burned when she met Dylan O'Brien at a bar. They slept together, not knowing that Dylan was going to be Y/N's attending. Dylan is a renowned neurosurgeon from New York who moved to Seattle to leave his cheating wife.
When Satan aka Holland Roden-O'Brien moved to Seattle to take a position as the OB-GYN attending, Y/N and Dylan's relationship had to get major stitches. Holland and Dylan got a divorce. Dylan's best friend Thomas Sangster moved to Seattle. Well ex-best friend. Holland cheated on Dylan with Thomas. And they lost a lot of patients all throughout. Somehow, they've managed to survive the life of surgery.
Y/N's POV
"Ok interns!" I hear my resident, Dr. Scodelario, call out. "We have a major ferry accident and we need to triage," she explains. Wait. A ferry accident?
"Wait you're saying that we get to go to the scene?" Tyler, my fellow intern calls out.
"Yes Dr. Posey." He starts jumping in place and I take a deep breath. I look to my other friend, Shelley. She's so serious.
We spend the next thirty minutes prepping our medical bags and getting proper id. Scodelario explains how the triage works and we head to the ambulance.
A bumpy ambulance ride later and we arrive at the bay. We exit the back of the ambulance and see the ferry. Half of the ferry is either on fire or covered in ashes as there are fire trucks to put out the fire. There are injured people and bodies everywhere. Paramedics run left and right across the closed street.
"Alright! Attend to the people at the red tent first! Then move down to yellow! Now go be doctors!" Scodelario screams and we separate. I run immediately to the red tent and ask paramedics for updates on patients.
I finish sending off my first triage patient when I see a lost little girl. I go up to her and crouch down to meet her eyes.
"Hey, are you ok sweetheart?" I ask her gently. She shakes her head.
"Are you lost?" She nods. I sigh.
"Are you looking for your mom?" She bods again. I look around. Tyler looks like he's handling red tent. I can help her find her mom.
"Ok I'll help you find your mom. Is that alright?" She nods again. I sigh and stand. The little girl gets a hold of my hand and we walk towards the green tent.
"Y/N!" I hear someone scream. I look up to see Dylan running towards me.
"What are you doing here?" I ask, making sure the little girl still is holding my hand.
"Head traumas they wanted me to check out immediately." I nod in understanding. He looks at the little girl.
"Who's this little princess?" He says in a sweet voice to keep the girl calm. He bends down to look at her and rubs her shoulder. "Does she need to be checked out?"
"No. I'm helping her find her mom," I tell him. He stands up and gives me a confused look. "Tyler has everything in red secured. I'll help her and head to yellow." He nods and is pulled away by a paramedic. I sigh and look down to the girl. "It's ok. We'll find her," I reassure her. She nods and we continue walking.
After about an hour of walking, I hear a groan coming from near the edge of the dock. I look at the girl.
"Can you stay here sweetheart?" I ask. She nods. I nod and I walk towards the sound. I find a man on the ground with his leg bleeding severely. I drop my medical bag on the ground and put on some gloves. I examine the wound carefully. The man winces.
"Sir, can you tell me what happened to your leg?" In response, a groan leaves the man. I sigh. I turn around and see the little girl standing behind me. Her eyes focused on the man's bloody leg.
"Don't look sweetheart," I tell her calmly. She nods slightly and turns around. I look at the wound. It's deep. I can sew it up but it needs to be covered. I look carefully and see small glass shards lodged inside. I sigh. Then it comes to me.
"Hey sweetheart. I know I told you not to look, but I need your help to save this man." The man breathes quickly and heavily. I look into the girl's eyes. "Please. Can you help?" She does nothing for a moment, but she eventually nods. "Ok can you open my bag and pass me a pair of tweezers? You know like one mommy uses to get a splinter out?" She nods. She opens my bag and hands me the tweezers.
