I walked through the woods, thinking about Jason. It had only been a hour, and I already missed his company. End walked beside me, alert for any threats. I felt strangely uneasy, as I was walking in an area i'd never been before. And the tree's seemed to be thinning. Before long, End and I came upon a gravel trail. Might as well follow this. It wasn't like I could go back home. After I left Jason, I went back and packed up a few of my things. I trusted him, but even so, It was better to be safe than sorry, as my brother used to say. I wonder what Collin would think of my life now. Not trusting anyone, being chased by his white-eyed clone, he'd probably have never left my side. He and Drake would have gotten along beautifully. I closed my eyes. I missed them both, so much it was painful. Collin may be dead, but Drake wasn't. I opened my eyes. Maybe I could find him! He would certainly do the same for me. Eyeing the trail, I decided to travel East.I will search, all over this world, until I find Drake. Or Grayson. In fact, Grayson probably knows things about Drake I don't, like where he lives. I looked down at End. "Come on, lets go find Drake." I told him. End looked at me and meowed. I grinned. Then I shouldered my pack and turned left, following the trail.
After walking for a few miles, I began to hear voices. For a second, I wondered if I should hide, then decided against it. I was tired of hiding. If they tried anything, well, I did have my knives with me. I listened as the voices got louder. One, a mans, seemed strangely familiar. I wondered if I had ever heard it before. Curious, I turned back. And came face to face with a young girl, who yelped and jumped back when she saw me, looking startled. I flinched. Nope, this was a bad idea. I turned, ready to run back into my woods, when I heard her gasp. "Armen!?" I stopped, then looked back. She had leaf green eyes and her blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail. Some pink strands hung lose to frame her face. She seemed....familiar. "Do I know you?" I asked. She broke into a grin. "Oh, man." She muttered, looking excited. Then she turned and shouted, "Guys! Get over here!" I tensed. End let out a growl. She looked down at him and smiled. "Oh, he's cute." She commented, smiling at me. I eyed her warely. "Miya, what is it?" A man's voice said, the familiar one I noticed earlier. Miya turned. She was blocking my view, though I could kinda make out a man's figure behind her. Er...In front of her. "Grayson, look!" She said, moving aside. I barely had time to think "What?" before I was face to face with a blonde haired, green eyed man. His eyes widened when he saw me. "Armen?" He whispered, clearly shocked. "Grayson!" I shouted, running up to my friend and mentor. He was taller, and his hair was wilder than before. He'd added a black jacket to his outfit, and i'm pretty sure his shirt was a darker shade of green. But it was him! He was here! He smiled at me, then rushed forward and hugged me. I was surprised, Grayson wasn't really the hugging type, but I felt really happy. He let go of me, gazing at me. "Armen..." He seemed to be at a loss for words. "How...." I grinned at him. "I have no idea." I said, guessing what he was about to ask. "I kinda just....woke up." Grayson sighed. "I don't care how it happened." He said, smiling at me. "I'm just glad your alive." I shrugged. "Grayson! Miya! Why are we stopping?" I turned and found myself face to face with an Enderman hybrid. I jumped back, startled, and she did the same. She had brown hair and her left eye was the same shade of blue as mine. In fact, she looked a lot like......like....... "Hey Ender." Grayson said, his expression cautious. Ender turned her gaze to him, her expression disbelieving. "Do you....know him?" Grayson nodded. Miya stepped forward, and I noticed something I had failed to see the first time I saw her. Her ears stuck out of her hair, and they were pointed. What the Hell? "He's not The Genocide by Thousands, Ender." I flinched. I had nearly forgotten, but the people here saw me as a monster. What am I thinking, trying to find Drake? He could be anywhere, and I would be in danger almost everywhere I go. It's hopeless. "What do you mean he's not The Genocide by Thousands?" Ender sounded suspicious, and I didn't blame her. It hurt, though. And, why not admit it? She reminded me of Drake. "Ender, it's a long story." Grayson said, moving between Ender and me, as if to protect me. It brought tears to my eyes. Drake used to do that. A lot, actually. He was very overprotective, but he had good reason. Grayson sighed. "Maybe we'll explain tonight, ok? It's kind of a long story, and its not one to share on the road." Ender sighed. "Alright." She agreed, looking at me curiously. I met her eyes cautiously. Grayson looked up at the sky. "It's getting late." He commented. "We should probably find someplace to spend the night." He glanced at me. "Do you know of any places, Armen?" I frowned. "No." He sighed. "Alright. I think..." He took off his backpack and pulled out a map. He stood there, studying it. Miya walked up to me, her green eyes curious. I glanced at her. She hesitated. "You saved them." She said finally, her gaze on Grayson. I blinked, startled. "I don't know about that." I said, turning away from her. She snorted. "Well, they both think very highly of you, Armen." I felt her hesitation, as if she was wondering whether or not to say more. "They told me about you." She said finally. I flinched away. Told her what? That I failed miserably? Her tone seemed to suggest I was some kind of hero, which was not true. I'd failed when my friends needed me the most. I left them. Miya seemed to sense my doubt. "Armen, you saved them. They told me about.....well, Him. They said they would have died if it weren't for you." I glanced at her. Wait, they? Does she know Drake too? The thought brought a twinge of excitement to my chest. Maybe Grayson knows where he was! And with their help....I closed my eyes. Why would they help me? I was a danger to them. I shouldn't even be here with them. Perhaps i'm being selfish, but I don't want to be alone again. I don't want to leave, but at the same time, I know I must. "Armen?" I opened my eyes. Miya was looking at me with concern. "Are you ok?" No. I wasn't. Grayson was walking towards us, worry in his eyes, and Ender was looking at me curiously. I exhaled, feeling shaky. I saw him. Collin. Standing in the trees behind the trail. But he was no longer my brother. His eyes glowed white. Not a speck of blue showed. His clothes were torn and bloody. He was gone. Had been for years. Only Herobrine remained. I felt light-headed. "Armen!" I heard Grayson scream, but it felt far off. All I saw was Him. Giving in, I closed my eyes, falling to the ground. In the distance, Grayson screamed, "Armen! No!"
I wasn't sure where I was. All I knew was my time was coming. That black-haired boy escaped, I could too. All I needed was a chance. That hybrid...He was special. I could tell. He would give me the chance I needed, in time. Then I would free us both. I saw him, injured on the ground. Oh, hang on, little Dragon. Stay alive. I'm coming. Soon.
