Natasha's pov

Natalia Romanova, Natasha Romanoff. The black Widow. I thought about my red room time. The mental door i kept it all locked behind pounded, wanting to be thrown open to cause horror and painful flashbacks.

I was about to avert my mind back to the present when all of a sudden, the barrier that kept the memories at bay broke. Flashbacks clouded my mind, three or four at a time. I cried out and fell to the ground. 'Weak. Pathetic. Pretending to fail' Madame's mouth echoed in my skull. 'The procedure is necessary' her voice whispered in my mind. "Again" 'Again.' "Sloppy. Do you think i will hand off the black widow title to just anyone?" Her voice taunted.

Then she said the four words that seemed to be tattooed to my very Existence;  'Love is for children.'

My breath came in heavy gasps. I felt sick, the memories of The red room being to much for me to handle. When i felt darkness about to consume me, i heard the door slam open to reveal two people; Wanda, and another Man that i couldn't see his face. It seemed Familiar but i couldn't think of who it belonged to. Darkness took over my vision as i fell unconscious.

Wanda's pov

As soon as i felt Natasha's mind barrier break i pounded on Steve's door and when he answered, took of in direction of her room. I threw open the door to reveal Nat on the ground, holding her head. She let out large, pitiful sobs and i saw Tears in her eyes. "What's wrong with her!?" Steve Shouted. "Her mental barrier broke, meaning she's seeing flashbacks of her past, ones she's tried to hide for years" i said, panicking.

Steve's face twisted in horror. Nat let out a scream and i Allowed my red hex to jar into her head and circle around the memories until they all were in a train like fashion. i imagined a volcano and made the memories and flashbacks float into it. They resisted but once they were all inside,

i created a barrier that should last many more years. I retreated from her head and watched Nat nervously. She was breathing heavily, but otherwise looked fine. Steve looked anxious. "Stay with her." i said, turning on my heel to leave.

Steve's pov

After Wanda left, i stayed with Natasha, gently laying her on her bed. I laid down next to her, gently pressing a kiss to her head. "it's alright, I've got you" i murmured into her red hair. A hour later she woke up, jolting awake. "What happened?' she demanded.

"Your mental barrier broke and you were experiencing memories. Wanda stopped it. she had me stay with you. Are you alright? Do you need water, food, medicine?" I asked quickly. She shook her head, placing her pointer and middle fingers on each hand to her temple, rubbing slowly.

She closed her eyes. "Steve. I'm sorry." She said, opening them again. "No, no don't apologize. I want to be here for you. After all, i do care about you." i said. She smiled. "Thank you, Steve."

She said. I pulled her into a hug, and in that moment she felt so small, so fragile. That was how i knew she had a human side, deep down, that wasn't tortured by the red room. She melted into my arms and fell asleep. I kissed her forehead and i too fell asleep.
