Natasha's POV
I sat on my bed with Steve next to me. We weren't talking, just thinking. I knew Steve wanted to break the silence, but I did it before he could. "What are we going to do?" I asked just as Steve started to open his mouth.

"I....I don't know nat." He said. I turned to him and kissed him. After a few seconds I pulled away. "I...I wish Wanda wasn't so stubborn to see that vision loved her! And she had a place here. But she had to mess it up." I said, sighing. "I know.....hey, why don't you get some sleep, I have to go do something, and do not say you are not tired, Natasha Romanoff, I can see it in your eyes." Steve all but demanded, humor dancing in his eyes.

I huffed, pretending to think. "Fine, but only if you promise me you won't scorn wanda. I know that's where your going...and I know she screwed up but......" I sighed. "I understand" he said gently. I pulled him into a hug and looked out the window. Ten seconds later we let go and I laid down. Steve walked out and closed the door.

I had a hard time welcoming the bed, but managed to get comfortable.

I let the darkness consume me, and instead of dreaming about the red room, I dreamt of Steve. His warm eyes that seemed so innocent yet he had seen so much.

Steve's POV
When I walked out of Nat's room, I called out to Friday, "Friday is Pietro still in the building?" I asked. "Yes, Mr
Rogers, he is in the east hallway." The AI's cool voice cut thought the silence of the nearly empty tower.

I sighed and began to jog down the hallways. Soon I reached the east hallway and I heard his voice, teasing me. "Training to be faster than me, captain?" He teased. "You know what I came here for, Pietro." I said. He sobered up and a frown appeared on his face.

"Follow me, if you can keep up, old man."
