Chapter 2:Temporary Freedom

At the peak of the dawn Luna was awakened by soft knocks on her bedroom door.

Still sleepy she got up from her bed.

"I'm coming!"she said as she opens the door.
She was greeted by her mother with very warm and pleasant smile.

"Good morning my precious one breakfast is ready! We would like to apologize what happened last night."her mother greeted her as she hug her warmly.

"It's Ok mom I understand that you're just trying to protect me. And you're right I might had been to bored up in here but in reality I must be still be thankful because though I been locked up here I'm still safe and sound."She replied sleepily as she yawned.

"Still up late in the evening and gazing at the moon again?" Her father asked from downstairs. "You should sleep early or else you might get sick if you will keep on doing that."

"Tregon what wrong with that? Luna is just trying to be happy beside what else she can do? She doesn't even have a pet or a friend to talk with. Since she is stil a little girl she is always doing that remember?" Lanaya answers." Change your clothes and we will eat our breakfast"

Luna nodded and she wash her face after she had changed her clothes. She went downstairs and she sat on her chair.

They started to eat their breakfast when Luna noticed that her father was in deep thought.

"What's the matter Dad? You seems to be occupied by something? Is there any problem?" She asked as she put down her utensils and she stared at her father keenly.

Lanaya glances at her husband and she nodded her head at him.

"Luna we are going to visit our old friend in the village few miles from the Black Hollows it's been years since we visit them.I just find out that her husband was sick yesterday and she ask if we can visit them so her husband might recover quickly if he saw his old friends. Do you want to come with us?"Tregon asked Luna in serious tone.

Luna gasped and she thought for a moment.

"But who will mind the house if we all leave?" Luna answered and she glances to her Mom. "And it will be too risky if somebody noticed me while we travel."

The couple stared at each other they didn't realize it.

Lanaya glanced at her husband.

"Tregon what if we postpone the visit. Maybe Gregory will understand if we cannot visit him for the mean time? Luna was right it will be a huge risk if somebody will notice that we are traveling with a fair maiden. Luna will be put in danger and we cannot afford that to happen!" Lanaya suggested as she continues to eat her breakfast.

Tregon think for a moment. And he looks at his wife then he glances at Luna who's waiting for his answer.

"Maybe you're  right we must postpone it." He answered sadly. " I can see Luna's point in here. We should just stay here. I'm sorry Gregory but we cannot visit you this time. I hope he will understand."

But Luna disagree with his decision.

"I think you should go, I can mind the house and while you're still there. We still have supplies that will last for a week. And I can take care of myself. It's been years since you visited him. I know you're longing to see him. Besides  He needs you now. You should go there and hope still be fine. And you already said yes to his wife that you will beside him. Don't worry I'll be fine."she answered as she smiles at them.

Lanaya feel so worried and she knew that her daughter got a point. It's been years and they haven't heard any news from him. Now they all knew why. He's sick and they wanted to see them all.
