the maze pt. 2

emerald's pov:

Emmet was driving me and dean to his pack house to take us to the brig where he has the vampire who lilith is in love with. it takes us about 30 minutes to get there and the entire ride was silent. dean and I were both very angry with Emmet. dean was mad because he now blamed Emmet for my being kiddnapped and I was mad because Emmet withheld information from us that could have been really helpful. when we arrived we followed Emmet through what felt like a maze. there was twist and turns and then more twist and turns the whole thing was very confusing and a few times we almost Emmet although i know why he does it this way. this way if someone was to escape they would be spending to much time trying to figure out to get out that the gaurds would be able to catch him quickly. finally we reach the brig and the guards opened the door for us and allowed us to enter. after that we followed Emmet all the way down to the last cell. he pulled a key out from under his shirt and opened the door. inside was nice little room with what looked like a comfortable bed and paint walls and just a whole set up. in the corner stood a man with his back to us. but for some reason he looked familiar. I looked at Emmet and he shook his head telling me it was safe for me to enter. I walked into the room and Emmet shut the door behind me. I sat down on the bed and waited for him to acknowledge me. he seemed to be staring out into space as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. I wish I could focus like that. he turn around and I was shocked...he...he ..looked exactly like my mom. "thats because im your moms twin." he said almost as if he had read my mind. "thats because I did read your mind." he said and I was in shock even as a hybrid I didnt have that power. "my mom doesnt have any siblings" I say but I didnt even convince myself that it was true. I could see right in front of me they were twins...but how? "what I want you to do is just sit there and listen to everything I have to say and when im done you can talk and ill listen is that fair? " he said and I nodded. "your mother and I are twins although we have never met. as im sure you can tell im a vampire and that is because I was born stillborn my father your grandfather darethus took me to a whitch and tried to bring me back but it was fail...but he wouldnt give up so finally he took me to a nest of vampires. ..the same nest your father blake was in..and asked them if they could help they said that they could but that if they were to fix me I wouldnt be able to go back to them for a long time because my thirst would be out of control...and since darethus was a warlock he beleived he had plenty of time and that he could wait for me. the years went by and I was doing well but there is one thing I couldnt resist no matter what....fairy blood...the day I met lilith all I wanted was her blood....I was about to kill her when I started to fall for her...she was just so beautiful...one day she invited me to her kingdom to meet her queen and see if we could be married. ..at first all I wanted was approval from the queen but once we got there I couldnt help myself I killed all of them...I thought that lilith would hate me after but she forgave me so easily. ..but my king told me that I would be put to death for what I did but when I told him I didnt kill them all he said I had to prove it so I betrayed her once again and brought back in chains and my king was pleased by her beauty that he forgave me and ordered her to his chambers...at that point I had realized that I had made a mistake but I couldnt get her quick enough..she had displeased the king and was thrown in the dungeons and the garuds were able to do whatever they pleased to her. I got there as fast as I could to free...and she forgave me again...at that moment I told myself I would never betray her again...we ran to the enchanted forest and I left her there and went to get supplies  but I was caught and thrown in here and ever since then ive been trying to get hold of her but it hasnt worked." he looked at the ground and I could tell all he wanted was to have her back." would you like to see her again?"
