becoming a leader

emerald's POV:

the days settled into a sad,bleak,torturous, routine. after I broke up with dean I continued to train relentlessly and now was a master at pretty much any weapon. I was the best hand to hand fighter we had and now there was only on more component to learn.... how to control my magic. little progress has been made since no one just what powers I have. since I am the child of a miracle child and very old powerful vampire no one knows what I can do. the practices were getting harder and harder and I often finished the days exhausted to the point I nearly passed out on the training room floor. on day Lilith came in and saw how frustrated everyone was. while mostly everyone here had magic no one could telling me exactly how to use mine since we were all different in the powers we contained. Lilith watched silently for a few minutes while Izzy was trying to teach me how to raise a tornado from the air around. I failed more than once before she said "everyone leave I'm going teach this girl how to use magic" when she finished barking the order she looked to me and raised and eyebrow waiting for me to challenge her order. but I only nodded to my companions who nodded giving Lilith looks of anger,resentment,and curiosity as they left the room. once they were all gone i turned to Lilith and said "who do you think you are just because you hold a seat on the council does not mean you get to boss my pack around!" I yelled and then gasped surprised at my harshness. I looked at Lilith again ready to apologize when she said "don't apologize girl you are the leader of this pack and I know that I just wanted the people who were recently in the room to remember it as well. I came in here and ordered them around as I did so I could this reaction in front of them but with them listening at the door will have to be enough" I gave her a confused look and she rolled her eyes and with a swift hand movement the door to the training room flung open and on the other side were my warriors and Izzy whom had just been training me In here. I glared at them and said "I told you to leave and I meant it if I ever catch you ease dropping on a conversation were you don't belong again it will end badly...for all of you" I said looking Izzy right in the eyes as I said the last part. she gasped a little and ran away. I wasn't sure but I think she was crying. guilt washed over me but I knew this is what I had to be...a leader didn't favor people.

Izzy's POV:

I ran down the hall tears streaming down my face. I didn't care that she punish me for ease dropping I know a leader doesn't favor people but she was so cold about it. she had been shelled up since her and dean had ended. she hardly spoke to anyone nor did she eat much and she was training so much she nearly passes out on the floor everyday. no one can say anything to her for fear she will blow up and punish them. she isn't ever going to be able to use magic if she doesn't get her emotions in check. all I can do is hope that someone gets her under control before someone gets hurt. I was still crying and running when I ran right into what felt like a brick wall. I looked up from the floor and found dean looking down at me apologizes written all over his face. he held out his hand to help me up and I took it. dean had left the day emerald broke up with him and no one had seen him until now. he looked at me face and must have seen the tears cause he said"oh jeez I'm so sorry Izzy I didn't see you coming please don't cry" he looked so sincere I chuckled harshly and said "it wasn't you   don't worry" he looked down at me and said "it was emerald wasn't it?" I nodded and he sighed rubbing his head like he headache then said "where is she?" I blinked surprised then said "where she always is the training room." he nodded as if he  had expected that and walked down the hall towards the training room without looking back.

dean's POV:

I walked away from Izzy and headed towards the training room. I had gotten a message from Lilith a few days ago telling me that emerald was out of control and I was the only person who could stop her.  I walked in and made as much noise as possible when I did. emerald turned and glared but I didn't care I turned to Lilith and said "now" she nodded and disappeared and I could hear all the entrances lock from the outside. emerald looked shocked and turned to me and said "what you couldn't just talk to me like a normal person?!" she glared and I ignored her and said "what the hell do you think you are doing?! you know your scaring everyone here even Lilith! your out of control and you need to stop now! look at yourself the reason you haven't been able to use your powers I'd because your to weak because you haven't been eating and your training yourself to death and you don't even realize it....what your doing isn't becoming a leader your trying to hid your pain because your the one who screwed us up and if you don't stop now your going to hurt someone you care about!" I said more angry then I had meant for it to be. she looked like she was close to tears but after a second her face got hard again and she glared at me before saying "this has nothing to do with you dean!" she spat my name like it disgusted her "I he to lead this pack and do you have any idea how hard that is....how am I suppose to lead them when I can't defend myself and I can't use all the freaking power I apparently possess! and as soon as I decide that I'm going to lean this stuff my mate turns his back on me and says he doesn't approve! then when I break up with him he doesn't even fight  me he just leaves and doesn't show up again until now when he starts telling me he doesn't approve again!" she looked down again tears falling freely and I walked over to her and put my arms around her pulling her to my chest then I said "I know I left and didn't fight for you but I was angry and I needed some air...then I decided I wouldn't be able to stay here when I couldn't be with you so I told Lilith where i was going a left....I had only been there a few days when Lilith sent me a message explaining what was going on so I came back for you....I love you emerald and I know I might have come off sounding like a jerk when I said I didn't like you learning how to fight but said it because its so hard for me to control myself when I see you fighting in if it is training the thought of. someone hurting you is unbearable and I didn't want you to be really mad at me if I was ever to lose control...but if its what you want I'll deal with it as long as we can be together....and we can run this pack together that way it wont be to hard or stressful for you..." I looked down at her waiting for her answer when she leaned back and kissed me. I guess that's a yes.
