The next day Jungkook's mom found him rummaging histerically through the small library, his bedroom floor covered in books.

"Yah, Jungkookie, what are you doing?", she busted through the door. Jungkook looked up at her with those innocent doe eyes, taking a moment to process what she meant.

"Oh!", he exclaimed in realization. "Mom!", Jungkook lunged at her at lightning speed. "Do we have any books about ancient myths or legends?", Mrs. Jeon looked at her child in confusion, but answered his question nonetheless.

"I don't think there's a home to not have one. Why?", she put her hands on her hips eyeing him suspiciously. What was her son up to?

"Do you know anything about a myth that has to do with the sound of some bell?", Jungkook ignored her question.

"Aish, you silly child. That's not a myth.", she ruffled Jungkook's hair. "That's reality. After all, that's how I knew your father was the one.", she winked playfully.

"What do you mean?", Jungkook's voice quivered. "What is it about?"

"Sit down.", Mrs. Jeon instructed him to sit next to her on the bed. "Why are you suddenly interested in this?"

"I just remembered about it last night, but I can't put my fingers on the details.", Jungkook half lied. "I'm curious."

"Not much is known about it, no theory can explain it.", Mrs. Jeon tried to sound as dramatic as possible causing Jungkook to roll his eyes. "It is said that when we are born we are destined a soulmate.", Jungkook's eyes grew wide. He did not like where this was going. "It's easy to know when you found your soulmate because the time seems to stop and you feel like it's just you and that person, you can't take your eyes off them. And the obvious giveaway: all you can hear is the ring of a bell.", his mother's voice came to a whisper towards the end and Jungkook gulped. It can't be. He wasn't even gay, was he? It's true he was never interested in girls, but he wasn't particularly interested in guys either. "So, have you met anyone recently?", Mrs. Jeon wiggled her eyebrows teasingly.

"No, moom!", Jungkook whined and pushed his giggling mother out of the room.

"Don't forget to clean your room.", she said before closing the door. Jungkook sighed grabbing the bridge of his nose in attempt of stopping the growing headache. Maybe it was just his imagination. Surely a boy couldn't be his soulmate, especially Kim Taehyung. Jungkook tried to forget the information given by his mom and started cleaning his room.

With one day left before moving in together, Bangtan went out to accomodate with each other a little. Jungkook fiddled with his fingers nervously as he approached the meeting point. He spotted Jin, Namjoon and Yoongi talking in the distance and rushed to them. 'No signs of Taehyung yet. Perfect!', the boy thought. He still felt very emberassed and awkward after their first encounter. Jungkook wonders if Taehyung will ignore him like he did after they broke the odd eye contact. He hoped so. Jungkook never wanted to experience something like that ever again.

"Yah, Jungkook!", he was so caught up in his thoughts he hadn't noticed he already reached in front of Namjoon, who was going in for a hug.

"hey, hyungs!", Jungkook greeted the older boys with a polite smile and joined their conversation about music, Jhope arriving shortly after.

"Seems like everyone is here now.", Jin's words caused Jungkook to look behind. Jimin was approaching with a slightly puffed chest, Taehyung trailing behind him, the huge boxy smile never leaving his unique facial features. Taehyung locked eyes with Jungkook and for a moment the younger boy felt like his hearing was beginning to fade away, the world slowly slipping into nothingness. He quickly shook his head and regained his composure, moving his attention to Namjoon who was now debating where they should go.

"A restaurant?", Jin suggested, but was turned down by Jimin who said he just ate.

"Why don't we go to the amusement park?", Jhope said a little too enthusiastic.

"Too many people, too loud and tiring.", Yoongi simply stated with his eyes closed.

'This hyung is really lazy'. Jungkook quietly giggled at his own thoughts, receiving a surprised look from Taehyung, who sat so close behind him he heard the cute little giggle. 'Why did it have to be exactly him who heard me?', Jungkook cursed in his mind furrowing his eyebrows, cheeks slightly pink from embarrassment. Taehyung couldn't help but smile a little at the adorable acts of the younger.

Even if it didn't look like it, Taehyung was just as scared as Jungkook, the day they first met still haunting his mind. The moment he heard the ringing bells he couldn't take his eyes off of Jungkook, sending chills down his spine. He was very familiar with the soulmate myth. His parents were soulmates and that caused the making of a very happy family. Taehyung always thought about meeting his one and only and having a happy family with that person. After a week of contemplating Taehyung came to the conclusion that he wasn't gay and Jungkook couldn't be the one for him. He thought that the younger boy would have surely said something if he heard the bell too. So with that in mind, Taehyung tried to push these thoughts deep down and be as friendly as possible towards Jungkook. Not only were they going to be working and living together, but Jungkook seemed like a really nice person too. Taehyung didn't want a possible friendship to be ruined from an awkward first interaction.

"Let's go to the gaming center.", Jungkook's soft voice pulled Taehyung out of his train of thoughts. The maknae's voice was so weak and shy that no one heard him except for, who was now smiling at Jungkook's frustrated face when everyone ignored him.

"Hey, guys.", Taehyung's low voice caused everyone to shut up and pay attention to him. "Jungkookie has a really good idea.", Jungkook flushed red, but this time it wasn't from the attention thrown at him. 'Jungkookie'. Only his mom called him that. The nickname Taehyung so cluelessly blurted out making his heart beat fast. Taheyung placed a hand on the shoulder of the smaller boy signaling him to speak up his previous idea.

"I thought, maybe, we could go to the gaming center. If everyone's okay with that.", Jungkook stuttered a little leaving everyone in awe at his shy form. Everyone agreed and Taehyung looked at him proudly (a/n such a proud boyfriend I'm crying). Jungkook finally had the courage to look up at Taehyung and thanked him with a small smile.

The 7 boys made their way to the closest gaming center, bonding over silly games and laughing at Jin's lame jokes. Taehyung and Jungkook always went against each other since they were the best at almost every game, their competitive side coming to the surface, the whole soulmate bullshit long forgotten. 'Maybe it really was just my imagination', both Taehyung and Jungkook thought while laughing together. The two who were the youngest clearly had a connection. No one though it was something beyond friendship as they watched them bring the most obnoxious idiots in each other.
