Part 2

The package arrived the next day as promised.
Namjoon received it and put it on the counter as he started making some coffee.

He knew whenever Jimin had a job the nights would be long and tyring for the red haired boy.

"Jiminie!" he yelled "here's your~"
he turned around and somehow managed to break the mug against the countertop, making the base of the box become instantly wet

"Oh, shit!"

He hurried and tried to dry it as Jimin ran downstairs

"Ugh, hyung.. again?
Are you okay?"

"Yeah i'm fine, this on the other hand.."
he handled Jimin the box

"Don't worry, i'm sure nothing got ruined" he smiled gently

It was. Almost the complete instructions booklet was soaked in coffee, making it impossible to even read some pages.

Jimin took the box to his room and locked himself as usual
Wheter he was studying or working he didn't like to be bothered

His room wasn't anything unusual.
But surprisingly (for his occupation) there weren't any posters or signs hanging on the wall.
With the exception of a couple Legend Of Zelda figurines, a sword and a shield, nothing much revealed his love for video games.

He sat on his desk and start unboxing the contents

He had received the VR equipment along with a blank plastic cover for the game and soaked instructions

"..it doesn't even have a name yet?"
he rolled his eyes as he sighed reading through the few instructions pages that weren't completely ruined.

"what kind of thing did i get into now?"

(...) Due to this reasons the game can only be played at certain times of the day for now

"I missed a big part here.. ugh but the page is completely ruined.."

This game consist in a new prototype for VR simulators.
Players can make their avatars based on a picture of their choice and the system will process it for them. Small changes will be allowed on avatars when created from the user's picture.

The game will be constantly updated over night, adding new content, unlocking new characters and correcting any glitches the system might experience.

It autosaves your progress making it easier for the user to continue the story or start a new one if desired.
In case of system error, please make sure to save manually.

"Ah.. i'll finish reading later"
he said looking to the pile of books still sitting on the corner of his room

He connected everything as required and inserted the game. The screen asked him to stand in front of the camera in order to take a picture and create the avatar

A soft music caressed his ears through his earphones..
He remembered that song, it was an instrumental version of Suran's WINE

The colors were soft and enticing
"so far so good.." he mumbled

As he hit accept everything turned black but the music kept playing

The opening sequence showed him several places in a city..

...a new home, a new life

A park during a sunset as Sakura blossoms flew around

Three beautiful boys to guide you through it..

And three boys in school uniforms, their faces were dark enough not to be seen just yet.. extending their hands towards you

"This is nice" he looked around wearing his headset

The music came to an end and everything slowly faded back to black

*A/N: from the POV of Jimin's character it'll be narrated as first person

I slowly open my eyes and stare at a white ceiling, I extend my hand up and move it around.
It looks so real.
I sit on the bed helping myself with the controllers and walk around

The bedroom walls are painted with a pale blue color, there's a desk and a laptop.. it looks loke you could almost touch it

I stand in front of a mirror and take a look at myself.. wow

"This is really amazing" I fix my hair

"no option to change outfit? uh.. they could work on that"

I walked down the stair and there's a lady in the kitchen, she turns around and smiles at me

"Good morning, my Jimin"

Good morning, eomma

"Excited for your first day at school?"

Yeah | Not really | There's school today?

She chuckled
"Don't worry, i'm sure it will be great!"

The breakfast sequence was actually really nice. For a second made me remember of the times I had days like those..

I left the house and walked around
It was an incredible experience.. everything looked so perfect
There was a little map in one of the corners showing where i should be headed next.. but it's actually a pretty open world

I was looking at the houses as I walked when i heard something, is that a cellphone?
I reached into my bag and pulled it out
