Part 5

He arrived home from school the next day.
He was tired and had a lot of homework to do.

"Hyung?" he called but there was nobody home yet.

"I should probably order some food, he's gonna be hungry when he gets back for sure"

He went online using his phone and ordered something from Panda Express, they really liked that place.

He sat on his sofa holding a math book, put on his earphones with his playlist on shuffle.
Music would always help him concentrate, and he'd love listening to OST from games he'd play or some anime songs from series he used to watch before his life changed. Reminded him of simpler times.

"..fighting dreamers.." he mumbled as he kept on reading

He spent a couple hours immersed on his book and music, not even realizing it until he saw the door opening, removing his earphones immediately.

"Hyung!"

"Hey.. they left this at the door" he said holding the bags with the food he had ordered

"Agh i completely forgot! I guess i didn't hear them knock" he looked at his phone "woah is this late already?!"

"Yeah, sorry about that. I got offered some overtime and i thought it'd be a good idea" he put the bags over the counter
"Let's eat.. i'm hungry"

"Ah, no don't worry, i don't feel like eating"

"But.."

"Just eat a lot and go to sleep. Yo must be tired. I'm gonna go ahead and lock myself inside my room.. i need to keep on working on that game.."

"Pabo, you need to take it easy and rest too" he walked towards Jimin and ruffled his hair

"I'm okay, Joonie.. i'm not tired at all" he smiled at his older brother.
He thought the last thing his brother needed now is to be worried about him.

He went up the stairs and locked his door as usual. Turned on the console, put on his headset and earphones and started the game.

I was back at school..
I started walking through the gate when someone called my name

"Jimin!"

It was Taehyung

"You ready for today?"

Right.. this is the beginning of his story. I looked around for an option to choose when i remembered about the A.I. and voice command.

"Yes?"

"Cool.. I felt a little rejected yesterday but you were right. It's only normal to ask for permission before when you just moved here"

Oh, so that's what happened.

We walked in and I couldn't help but listen to some people whispering around us

"Is there something on my face?"

"Don't mind them. It always happens.."

"You guys get a lot of new students?"

"No" he paused "everytime i start hanging out with someone"

I stared at him trying to understand the reason why, and my avatar must be hella good at expressions because somehow he realized and spoke before I even had to ask him

"Do you.. use social media a lot?"

"Not really, why?"

"Well, to be honest.. i'm kind of a big thing.. on social media i mean!
I used to be.. kind of chubby when i was a kid and.. sometimes people would make fun of me"
