chapter 10: Mercenary pirates?

Ilia's  pov
My eyes go wide as I see Iris, she had a gun in her hand and a group of mercenaries, I hid behind reaver who got his gun out, the ship stopped at the sand and my brother's elite guards came running out of the mansion and got ready to fire at the mercenaries, the ship stopped and a drawbridge landed in the sand leaning against the ship and Iris came out with her mercenaries.
Iris: well now, it was hard to find were you were hiding, this island is not on any known map that I can find
Me: that's because it's a private island owned by the royal family
Iris: I see, once I kill you then I keep the island
Me: dose saker know your here?
Iris: that is none of your-
Reaver: as much as I love this little chat, it needs to end
Iris: I agree
As soon as she said that she tried to shoot me! Reaver used his cane to block the bullet and I ran into the mansion to get my weapons, I hear shooting and cursing and I got out my jewel hammer that I stole from Iris, I then hear her voice echoing threw the mansion and I hid behind a door, I'm glad there are more elite guards here then there are mercenaries, once I saw Iris pass the door I walked out behind her and hit her making her go flying into a wall cursing and I walked up to her
Me: you should have never come here Iris!
"Princess, the girl is dangerous! Kill her!"
Iris: i'm here to get rid of you and to take your place!
Before I could answer her I heard a gun shot  and my eyes go wide seeing a bullet going into Iris's head! She fell down dead and I looked behind me to see Reaver with a smoking gun!
Reaver: hopefully  she stays dead this time, are you ok my sweet?
Me: y.....ya
Reaver: all the mercenaries that came here are dead now 
I nodded and reaver left the room to talk to the guards and servants, I looted Iris's body and took everything and left her naked, I then dragged her body outside and put her on a pile of wood  and burned her using a torch, I watched as she burned to ash, the smell was horrible and I swear that I saw what looked like red aura or spirit leaving her body into the now night sky.
Reaver: all the mercenaries were all burned and then there bones were dumped into the ocean
Me: good, get rid of all evidence of them ever being here, I don't want anyone outside of this island to know that they were here
Reaver: yes princess, and about the ship?
Me: I want everything that belonged to Iris on the ship to be brought into my private room, all supplies removed from the ship, take any and everything you can that is useful from the ship, once there is nothing on the ship then take it and turn it into one of the royal fleet ships!
Reaver: yes princess, right away
I see reaver smirk and leave to go do what I told him too, once all of Iris's stuff from the ship was in my room, I went threw them, there was a chest full of papers, books and maps with a lot of ink wells and feather pens, then there was a dresser full of cloths and a vanity with make up and a small jewelry chest full of jewels and jewelry, I sighed and got out the papers and put them on my desk, one paper got my attention.
~Letter~
Dear father
You may have noticed about 15 of the mercenaries are missing by now including me, I wanted my revenge so I took the opportunity and stole a pirate ship and it's been a few days now at sea and the men are worried but I told them everything will be ok, my info tells me that the stupid princess fled to an island, I'm now seeing the island-
I smirked and took the ink and decided to add to the parchment
Once I sailed to the island I saw the princess was alone with only a few servants in a mansion, once on the island I shot the princess and looted her body then burned it, as I was in the mansion looting it I hear gun shots and look out and saw a royal ship shooting at our mercenaries! They killed them all and I had to think fast so I dressed up as the princess and pretended to be hiding in a closet, to my surprise the person who found me was Reaver! He believed that I was the princess and I told him that I had not seen me and that I was scared, he said that everything was ok and that this place was not safe, I'm now going to leave the island with reaver and to the castle, the poor fools have no idea that there princess is dead and that I took her place, I will contact you as soon as I can.

Once I was done with that I sent a hawk to deliver the message, the mercenaries are idiots to believe  the letter, I giggled and see a map that looks different from the normal map (the picture at the top), after about an hour of reading threw the papers and maps I see a list.

As i'm reading I heard the door open and I look up seeing Reaver walking over to me, he stopped at my desk and looked at the strange map
Reaver: this map.........its of the old kingdom of Albion, a map your mother would recognize  I think
Me: reaver.......how much do you know of my mother?
Reaver: she was a hero and a beautiful woman
Me: I see, I don't remember her, she died when I was very little
Reaver: yes I know my sweet
Me: reaver............you've lived a long time.......have you ever loved anyone?
Reaver:.............there was one woman but she died a long time ago......
