Always Come First

Chapter Thirteen

"Joooooooosh, it's already 9:45, why isn't anyone here yet?" whines Abbie.

Josh chuckles, and presses a kiss to her waiting lips.

"Love, they aren't going to be here until nearly noon. Calm yourself!"

Abbie throws her hands into the air, groaning.

"But I'm bored!"

Josh chuckles again, and slides his hand into hers.

"Well, let's do something then."

"Does it look like I can leave this bed?" she snaps, with a sarcastic tone in her voice.

Josh jumps up from the bed, and walks over to Abbie's bag. He pulls out a notepad, and a pen.

"We can think of names." he suggests.

"Already?"

"Why not?" he answers, climbing back into the bed. "Any suggestions?"

Abbie grabs the pad from Josh, and starts tapping then pen to her temple.

"Well, I really love the name 'Quinn', but only for a girl. And the name 'Melody' just has a beautiful ring to it."

Josh nods, as Abbie scribbles the two names down in her sloppy writing. Josh takes a peak, and sees that the page is divided into two columns, appropriately labeled 'Girl' and 'Boy'.

"Ouh, how do you feel about the name 'Daisy'?" she asks with excitement in her eyes.

"Whatever makes you happy love." he simply answers, pressing his lips to her soft cheek.

"I really hope my name is on that list somewhere." announces a familiar voice.

Abbie looks up, and a wide grin breaks out on her face.

"Kelly!" she squeals, as she tries to get out of the bed. Josh holds her down, chuckling for the third time in the past five minutes.

"Now now love, don't be hurting yourself." Kelly crosses the room, and gives Abbie a big hug.

"What are you doing here so early? I thought you were stopping at home for a bit?"

A flash of expression crosses Kelly's face.

"Well, you see, something came up..."

After Kelly explained everything that happened, Abbie and Josh just sat there in shock.

"Wait, so, this is Perrie's fault?"

"Hardly. All Eric's. The cops have him, considering they only wounded him."

"Which is unfortunate ..."

"Josh!" Abbie shouts, slapping his arm. "You don't wish death on someone, no matter how horrid they are."

"Abbs, more than enough people want him dead. He beat up Lou and Harry, raped Danielle and knocked Niall to the ground."

"Speaking of Niall, how's he doing?"

"Just peachy!" calls out Liam, as he and Niall saunter in hand in hand.

"Just a goose egg, the doctor says it'll heal up in a couple days." grins Niall from ear to ear.

Abbie gazes at Niall and Liam, so happy together. Only now does she fully appreciate their new found love for each other.

"Kelly?"

"Yeah Abbie?"

"Have you seen Harry yet?"

Everyone in the room sees the lump that has risen in Kelly's throat.
