Abbie wakes up, uncomfortable and alone. She glances at her cell phone clock. It reads 7:38. She yawns, and tries to lift herself up. Her leg being in a cast and the bandages across her torso make it difficult to move. She swings her good leg over the side of the bed, and lifts herself up. She holds her stomach, and absent mindedly rubs it.

"I'm gunna be a mom." she whispers to herself, and smiles as she hobbles to the small bathroom. On the way there, she passes a chair, in that chair is her old school bag. She pulls herself over, and opens in. Inside, she sees everything that Josh collected for her at her house. She smiles again, and pulls out her hair brush, a hair tie, and her makeup bag.

She limps over to the bathroom, and slides the door shut behind her. Abbie looks into the mirror, and the sight frightens her. Her hair sticks in many directions, her day old makeup flaking off, and she looks tired.

Abbie leans over the sink, and yanks a brush through her knotted chocolate hair, her natural curls giving her some difficultly. After she is content with the tangle free mess, she collects the mass and wraps the elastic around it. Happy with her hair, she wipes off the remaining makeup, and stares at herself in the mirror.

'Why am I putting makeup on?' she wonders to myself. 'Do I really care that much?'

She sighs, and sits on the toilet, with some difficultly.

Ever since she was small, Abbie had self esteem issues. She couldn't believe that she landed any guy that she had been with, and even now she couldn't believe that her and Josh were together. Better yet, that they were having a baby.

Since her family left to go to Canada a couple years ago, all Abbie has now is Brea and Josh. Of course the rest of the lads and Harry's sister Kelly is around sometimes, but it still hurts to think that she's alone in this world.

The thought of Kelly hits her hard.

Abbie leans back, and rests her head on the wall.

Kelly. She remembers the jealousy she had with Kelly.

Kelly and Josh were friends, basically best friends. But Abbie always had the sinking feeling that Kelly wanted a little more than friends. She kept it to herself though, not wanting to disrupt the already broken peace.

As time went on, Abbie became close to Kelly. Brea is, and will always be Abbie's best friend, but Abbie felt a deep connection with Kelly.

Maybe because she's always happy. Maybe because she makes everyone feel better. Maybe because she's one of the kindest people you could meet. Maybe it was the way she calls the people she cares about 'love'. Maybe it's because she tell everyone they are perfect in every way.

Kelly is one of those people who holds your hand, not caring what others think. She wears bright and cute clothes, and is always laughing. She could make you smile in seconds.

Perhaps that's why Abbie missed her so much at the moment.

Abbie pulls herself up, her injured leg groaning in protest. She quickly wipes on some mascara, and limps back out into the hospital room. She grabs her bag, and heads to her bed.

After lifting herself up, Josh walks in with two cups of coffee. He breaks out into a grin, seeing her awake.

"Hey babe didn't think you'd be up this early!" he proclaims, handing her a coffee and pulling up a chair.

Abbie yawns, and wraps her fingers around the cup.

"I feel like hell." she complains. "Where's Brea?"

"She and Zayn popped home, she was exhausted and falling asleep on him at 3am. I think he said she has a piano lesson at 10 or something as well. Liam and Niall both have classes at 10 too, so it's just us here. I've been flipping between here and the guy's room. They said they'll be back as soon as they're done." he says flashing a grin.
