During the second warPercy dodged a dagger that came flying towards him, but immediately regretted not taking it. A female whimper engulfed Percy's hearing. He turned in fear hoping that it wasn't who he thought, but it was. Annabeth stood across from Percy, tears streaming down her face. Her hands clutched tightly around the dagger that he dodged earlier. Tears burned Percy's eyes. He rushed forward as Annabeth fell, whining in pain as she pulled the dagger out of her side. Percy engulfed her in a warm hug as they cried. She turned away, her face paling. "Percy" she spoke. He rested his hand on her face as everyone fought behind them. "Promise me, you'll move on" she said, Percy's face immediately turned pale. "N-no! I won't! I can't!" He cried. She smiled sadly. "You will seaweed brain, do it for your Wise Girl" she said, her heart breaking. Percy shook his head. He took Annabeth's hand and placed it on his chest. "This is and will always be yours" he said, tears falling down his face. Annabeth copied his actions, "yours". "Wise girl, I will never move on from you. I can promise you that. Just know I will plead to the gods every night for you to come back, I love you Annabeth" Percy said, choking on his words. "I love you to Percy. Please don't miss me too much" she said, tears leaking out of her eyes as her voice faded, a sad smile across her face. Her final words stabbed Percy's heart. "Goodbye Seaweed Brain". Percy held the lifeless Annabeth in his arms. "Goodbye Wise Girl" he whispered, tears gliding into her curly hair. He kissed her forehead and pulled her to the healing station. "Keep her body please" Percy pleaded. The healers nodded and pulled Annabeth out of his grasp. He ran back into battle, slaying every monster that came near him or his friends with the power of his anger. A Cyclops gained on Thalia, Percy slid forward, getting crushed instead of Thalia. She screamed as he was crushed.
Percy woke up in a white bed with someone to his right staring at him deeply.
"You drool when you sleep"
