Highschool pt. 10

Annabeth's POV

Ok so today is August 10th. In 10 days school is starting. And in 8 days, it's Percy's birthday. Last night we arrived at the school really late. "Alright Annie, lets go into town and get your boyfriend some presents!" Piper exclaimed literally dragging me out of my bed. I groaned and sat up on the floor. "Piperrrrrr" I groaned as she lifted me up. "Go take a shower and get ready!" She said pushing me towards my dresser. "Ughhh Fine" I yawned opening my dresser.

After I got ready, Piper and I went into town. We stalked the stores and sorta went shopped for ourselves. Piper found a necklace that had a dove on it and she freaked out. "Ok whatever, I'm gonna go look for something for Percy." I said walking off. She slightly waved then went back to her necklaces. I shook my head then went to the checkout desk. "Do guys have anything for a boyfriend's birthday?" I asked. The man smiled, "and who would this boyfriend be?" he asked. "Percy Jackson" I stated. The man smiled. "Well I think I have just the thing." He said. He turned around and walked into the back and disappeared. He walked back out and handed me two rings. "Am I supposed to pick? And how much are these?" I questioned. He just chuckled. "Oh my dear. You need to look at them" He laughed. I picked one up and on it, it read, Wise Girl and there was a owl next to it. I looked at the other and it said, Seaweed Brain. I smiled. "How much?" I asked. He waved his hand, "no charge for the hero, I owe you." He grinned. My eyes widened, "Hephaestus?" I asked. He grinned. "Oh yes my darling, I'll see you around" He said. He winked and walked into the back. I stood there dumbfounded, then ran back to Piper. "Pip... Pip... Pipper!!" I stuttered. She turned around and looked me up and down. She grinned and put her necklace down. "Which God was it?" She asked. I must have looked really shocked because she started laughing. "Oh Child, my first God seeing was Aphrodite, so who was yours?" She asked. "Hephaestus" I stated shortly. She nodded, "that was Leo's too". "Wait... this is normal!?" I asked. "Of course! Your a Demi-god. Nothing is normal though" She explained. "So what did he give you?" She asked. I showed her the rings and she squealed. "AWWW that's so cuteeeee!! All Aphrodite did for me was show me that Jason needed no changing." She squealed. "Ok! Well I'm gonna go get a box for the rings, then we're leaving?" I planned. "Yup!" She replied. I smiled then walked to the ring section. "Hello young Lady!" A clerk said walking towards me. She was beautiful, her makeup was perfect, she wore a beautiful dress that flowed out at the bottom, and she wore perfect jewelry.
"How may I help you?" She questioned. "Uhh I'm looking for a ring box.." I said. She smiled, "Yes of course dear! I think I have the perfect one for you!" She cheered and picked a Sea-green box from off of the shelf. "Here you go my dear!" She said, handing me the box. Piper came over and stopped abruptly when she saw the clerk. "Mom!?" She shrieked. "Oh, hello Piper!" Aphrodite said. Piper stood shocked. "Here you go my love!" Piper's mom said, handing her a turquoise dress. "Mom! How did you fix this?" Piper asked. Aphrodite laughed, "oh child, you underestimate me, I'm the goddess of beauty remember? Oh my time is up children! Good luck with Percy dear" She waved, then spun in circles and simmered away. Piper looked down at the dress like it was a ancient artifact. "We should be getting back to the school" I interrupted. She looked at me and nodded.

Once we got to the school, Piper and I rushed in through the front doors. Percy and his swim team should have just finished with practice. Oh yeah.. and nobody knows we're dating. "Piper! We have to— AGH!" I shrieked when someone hoisted me up from behind. Piper's eyes widened. "Hey Wise Girl! What you got there?" He asked, reaching for the rings. I threw the box at Piper and she caught it and ran away. Percy groaned and put me down. I smiled and pecked his lips, "see ya later Seaweed Brain" I said. I turned and ran up to my dorm. I slammed into the room and shut the door. "ok I'm gonna make a card" I said. Piper nodded and tossed me the rings. I set it down on my desk and I grabbed my sketch book and a pencil. I sat on the bay window and started drawing.

This was on the front of the paper. Inside I wrote:

Dear Seaweed Brain,
I don't think you know how much I love you. The water to my sea, The Wise to my girl, the apple to my pie, I love you Percy.

And you never getting away from me again, NEVER.

"I finished!" I exclaimed. Piper looked at me happily. "Its personal so I'm not gonna read it." She stated. I giggled. I walked over to my desk and placed down the card and box.

CRASH

I jumped and Piper's hand slid to her dagger. I ran to the widow and looked outside. There were at least fifty monsters outside. Piper rushed over and looked outside too. I ran to my closet and slipped on my CHB shirt and pulled on some jeans. I threw my hair into a ponytail and sheathed my dagger. "Piper! come on!" I yelled slamming open the door and running to Nico's room. I barged in and Nico was just getting out of bed. "AGH!! ANNABETH!" He screamed. Which woke up Will and Bianca. "NICO! LOOK OUTSIDE!" I yelled, the ran out the door towards Percy's dorm. Piper ran past me towards Leo and Jason's dorm. I slammed into Percy's room and he was already grabbing riptide. "Alright Wise Girl, time for your first battle" He said, grabbing my hand and pulling me out the door.

We ran down the hall and we're joined by Nico Bianca and Will. Soon after that Calypso, Thalia, Reyna, Jason, and Leo were behind us. We barged out the front door and faced the army of monsters. My face paled but was fierce. "Lets go kick some monster ass" I grinned and ran into battle behind Percy.
