Annabeth woke up at 4:56. She groaned and pushed herself out of bed. she dragged her feet towards the bathroom and started the shower. She walked back out and grabbed her clothes and towel. After getting in the shower, she soaped her hair and body. She rinsed off then stood under the water for about 15 minutes. After getting out she tied her hair into a messy bun and grabbed her clothes. She choose to wear her owl necklace and earings, with a grey sweater with dark jeans and high brown boots. A red scarf was draped around her neck. She took her hair out and blow dried it. lightly curling it at the tips even though it was already curly. Right as she left the bathroom there was a knock on the dorm door. It was 5:45 who else would be up? She opened the door and there stood non other than Percy Jackson. "W-what are you doing here?" She stuttered. "I have a LOT of explaining for you.... mind if i come in?" He asked. She stepped aside and he scurried in as she closed the door.
After Percy explained the entire thing, Annabeth realized her feelings got stronger when he was around. "wait. So im a demigod?" Annabeth asked again. Percy nodded. "I.. I dont know what to say." She felt like she was going to faint. Annabeth stumbled and fell backwards. Before she could slam onto the wooden floor, Percy caught her. Percy's face was inches away from Annabeth's. She blushed bright red and stood up. "Ok, so let me get this straight. Your the son of Poseidon, an you don't know who my godly parent is...?" Percy nodded. Annabeth's hands started to shake. "I-I this has to be a mistake" Annabeth insisted. Percy shook his head. "No. I can smell your scent. We have to get you to camp asap" "Wait, scent? and what 'camp'?" Annabeth demanded. Percy shook his head again. "No time to explain" He walked to Piper's bed and shook her violently. "Aghhh stop" Piper whined. "Pip we have to go!" Percy said. "No perc, she doesn't know yet!" Piper cried. "Yes she does! I just told her!" Piper's eyes shot open, "YOU WHAT! CHIRON IS GONNA BE PISSED!" She shrieked. Percy backed up. "Don't charm speak me please!" He cried as he coward backward. "WHAT IS GOING ON!?" someone screamed. Annabeth whirled around to see Nico and Will standing in the doorway. "Nico! Good your here to, blondy here needs to get to camp! Her scent is to strong." Percy complained. Nico nodded and ran down the hall to a different room. Percy turned towards Annabeth. "Percy, tell me what is going on!" "Once again, no time to explain! Go change into something a LOT warmer, we have a different way of transporting!" He explained. Annabeth rushed into her closet and got her snow jacket. 'what does he mean a different way of transportation?' Annabeth thought to herself. "Ok good?" She asked. Percy's eyes widened, "She...she looks like a huntress" He said gloomily. Piper smiled sadly. She knows the history between them, Annabeth just can't see through the mist that well. "Its ok Percy, let me go change" Piper said patting his arm twice and walking off. "You really don't remember me huh?" Percy said looking up from the floor. Annabeth looked at Percy with concern in her eyes. "W-what do you mean?" She asked. "Annabeth, we met in 6th grade. Im your seaweed brain, Wise Girl" Percy said choking on his words. Annabeth was thrown into a flashback.
'"Hey, Im new here! Im Annabeth" "Percy, nice to meet you!" Annabeth blushed and took his hand to shake.
"My seaweed brain" "My wise girl, I'm gonna miss you" Percy said sadly. "Me too, but ill write you everyday!" She said trying to cheer him up. He smiled sadly. Then Annabeth surprised them both by pressing her lips against his. He didn't want to break the kiss, but heard her dad so broke it. "Goodbye Percy." She said turning and walking to her father, tears dribbling down their cheeks."'
Annabeth stumbled. This time Percy didn't try to catch her, he just stood there trying to choke the tears back. "You remember now?" He asked. Annabeth just stood there stunned over the fact that this was her best friend in 6th grade. She stared at Percy. Then ran as fast as she could to him, engulfing him into a hug. Sobs poured out of her throat. "I-Im so sorry Percy. I don't know h-how i could ever f-forget you" She sobbed. Percy wrapped his arms around her waist and finally cried too. "Y-you will always be my Seaweed Brain" She cried. Percy smiled, "You will always be my Wise Girl, cmon Wise Girl lets go get you to camp!" He let go of Annabeth and wiped her tears. She smiled sadly. Piper walked out immeaditly knowing that Annabeth remembered. "Ok Leo is ready!" Nico said running into the room. Just after that Jason burst into the room. "Oh hey sparky" Percy said. "C'mon! Leo is probably waiting" Nico urged grabbing Will and dragging him away. Piper and Jason ran after them and Percy started but stopped when Annabeth didn't move. "Its ok to be scared Wise Girl" He said, slipping his hand in hers. "Lets go" Then they bolted down the hall.
They ran out the door to see a giant mechanical dragon. "Hop on guys!" A boy on the dragon said. Piper jumped on followed by Jason, who wrapped his arms around her waist. Then Nico hopped on, followed by Will, Nico dug his head into Will's chest. Percy pushed Annabeth forward. Her hands started to shake as she climbed up. Percy sat behind her not knowing weather to hold her or to leave her be. Annabeth immediately fell backwards into Percy's chest. She was lightly shaking. Percy wrapped his arms around her. She turned so she was facing him and hid into his shoulder. "Yo Leo! Go easy, blondy here hasn't done this before!" Jason called. Leo laughed "No can do Sparky! Fast is all I know!". The dragon took flight and swooped into the sky. Annabeth whimpered and gripped Percy tighter. Percy smiled, and pulled her closer not ever wanting to let go of her or this moment. To be honest, Percy never got over his feelings, thats why he was never able to fall in love with another girl... "Thats my fatal flaw" Percy thought out loud. "What?" Annabeth squeaked. "Nothing, ill explain when we get on land" Percy promised.
Annabeth had lifted her head and caught a glimpse of how high they were. She screamed and lost her balance, slipping out of Percy's grasp and sliding off the edge. "ANNABETH!" Percy yelled sliding onto the foot of the dragon, and grabbing Annabeth's wrist. Annabeth was screaming and crying, kicking her legs around. "Annabeth hold on!" Percy yelled. He pulled her up more, her shrieks piercing his ears. Jason flew off of Festus and under Annabeth. Percy saw him but Annabeth didn't. "Annabeth I'm going to let you go" He said. Her grey eyes widened, "WHAT!?" She screamed. "I have to Annabeth! its the only way!" He yelled. She screamed trying to grab Percy. He couldn't take it. "Fine!" He screamed. Jason moved out of the way and grabbed Annabeth's waist, pushing her closer to Percy. Percy got a good grip and hoisted her up. She wrapped her legs around Percys waist and cried into his shoulder, Percy held her tightly as he sat on the dragon. Annabeth sobbed and wouldn't stop. It broke Percy's heart to see her like this. "Shh its ok Annabeth, your safe, i've got you" He whispered calmly, she seemed to quiet down, but still wouldn't loosen her grip on Percy. "I still love you" She whispered. "I still love you too" He admitted. She seemed to lighten up and snuggled closer to Percy. Light snores came from her mouth. Percy stroked her hair softly until they landed. Percy picked her up bridal style. "Guys, tell Chiron about Annabeth, I'm taking her to my cabin so she can sleep." They all nodded and walked into camp along with Percy. He walked down to cabin 3 and opened the door. Annabeth groaned when Percy placed her on his bed.
"Shhh, be quiet Annabeth, everyone else is asleep" Annabeth nodded. Percy moved to walk away from the bed, but stopped when Annabeth grabbed his shirt. "I want real pajamas" She complained. Percy hadn't even realized how long it took to get here, it was already 11:30. Percy got her some of his sweatpants and one of his long-sleeve shirts. She changed on his bed while he turned away changing his pants. "Done?" He asked. She whined in agreement. Percy turned. He walked towards her and kissed her cheek then turned back around. Annabeth grabbed his shirt and pulled him back into the bed. She snuggled into him and fell asleep almost instantly. "Night Wise Girl" He whispered, then fell into a long sleep.
