7. Truth or Dare continues part 2

Liam's P.O.V

I cautiously walked down the hall and to the elevator, I checked Kate's iPod. Thank god it was still recording. As I waited for the elevator to come I saw Kate running up to me.

"They sent me out here to make sure you didn't chicken out." she said with a grin on her face. I grinned back.

"There's no chance I'm sleeping in that shower.No offense." she just laughed.

"I wouldn't want to either." just then the elevator dinged and the doors opened. We climbed inside. Kate pressed the lobby button and we started to descend. I checked the iPod again. It was still recording. Just then the elevator gave a huge lurch and the lights went out. We weren't moving at all.

"Shit!" Kate cursed "Shit,shit, shit!" I looked around. I couldn't see anything in the blackness.

"Kate?!? Where are you?!?" I asked worriedly.

"I'm just here." I heard her shuffle towards me and I gratefully wrapped my arms around her.

"We just need to call security, i think it's just a blackout." She pulled her cell from her pocket and the light lit up the small elevator. She punched in a few numbers and lifted the phone to her ear, illuminating her face. I heard the phone ring a few times before a voice answered.

"John?!" She asked into the phone "There's been another blackout and me and my friend are stuck." She pauses as the voice on the other end replied.

"yep, elevator two, no, between floors twenty six and twenty seven, ok, yep, see you soon, ok, thanks." she pulled the phone from her ear and hung up. She looked at me in the pale glow of her phone.

"They'll be here in twenty." she said looking at me with her amazing eyes. She sat herself down on the floor, patting the empty spot beside her. I say down, grateful of her presence. She twists her fingers nervously. I look at her beautiful face, which is twisted with worry. I unconsciously place my larger hand over her slightly smaller one. She looks up at me, her blue eyes shining. Just then her phone gave a loud beep and died.

"Oh crap!" she exclaimed. I held her hand tighter in the pitch darkness and pulled her closer.

Abruptly she slided way from me.

"What happened?" I ask her, what did I do wrong.

"I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed "Your only in your boxers and I was snuggling up to you!"

"S'ok." I say, laughing a little. I reach out and grab why I think is her arm.

"Ouch!" she says. "You poked my boob!" I blushed a deep red, thank god it's dark! Shit that's really awkward.

"Oh God I'm sorry!" I apologise as I reach for her actual arm. I pull her back to my side and she snuggles into me again. Just then I remember the iPod. I pull it from the waistband of my boxers. I quickly stop the recording. Kate sees what I'm doing and laughs.

"Why didn't we think of that before?!?" she exclaims, chuckling. I laugh with her as I turn the brightness up to full.

"I don't know" I admit truthfully. I look down at her, staring into her beautiful blue eyes. This is the perfect moment. I placed my hand softly on her cheek, stroking it gently with my thumb. She blinked her yes and bit her lip.

"Your so beautiful when you do that." I whisper, she blushes and looks down. She looks back at me, her cheeks a pale pink. I slowly lean in, my stomach full of butterflies, as our lips touch.

It's better then any kiss I've had before. Our lips fitted perfectly together as if they were ment for each other. It sent tingles down my spine making me shiver in pleasure. Her lips tasted perfect, vanilla with a hint of strawberry lip gloss. I pulled away and lent my forehead against hers, looking deep into her eyes knowing she felt what I did. She bit her lip again and our lips touched for the second time.

Just then the lift gave another shudder and the lights turned back on and we finally continued our descent. I turned the camera back to film and handed it to Kate.

"Now time for you dare Liam." she said smirking as the elevator doors opened. I confidently walked out into the lobby and to the reception desk. I smiled at the woman as I approached, she was proa ably in her late twentys with dark brown hair pulled into a tight bun and a pair of thick glasses perched on her nose. She looked slightly frightened as she saw I was only in my boxers. I casually lent my arm on the desk and said;

"You don't happen to have any sugar do you? Me and my friend are baking a cake and we ran out." she gave me a horrified look and I could hear Kate loosing it near the elevator.

"Umm no sorry sir." the flustered looking woman replied. "You might want To go to the store down the road." and with that she turned and walked to a computer nearby. I turned on my heel and walked back to Kate who was still laughing uncontrollably.

"Di-d y-ou see-e h-er f-ac-e?!?" Kate gasped between waves of laughter. I started laughing with her as we made our way back up to the apartment. We walked inside and were meet with looks of concern.

"Where were you?" Louis asks looking worried.

"The elevator got stuck in the blackout, but we did the dare!" she said handing Louis the iPod as I pulled my clothes back on. Soon the whole room was laughing just like Kate.

In the end only Naomi and Niall had to sleep in the shower. Oh well it was worth the fun.

We stayed for dinner that night and watched the movie Love Actually, Hazzas choice. After the movie it was time for bedding arrangements as we were going to stay the night.

"So, since Naomi and Niall are sleeping in the shower we have one free bed. Who wants it?" Ailsa asked. We all look at each other. No one moves.

"umm, well??" Ailsa looks lost.

"Well since no one wants it can we have it." Naomi asks with a pleading look on her face. Ailsa looks sternly at her.

"What about the punishment?" I ask.

Ailsa looks thoughtful

"You two can sleep on the bed but, no blankets." she said, we all nod in agreement. After a bit of convincing the finally agree and we go our separate ways. I follow Kate up to her room. It's a large airy room over looking the city through a huge window. I walk around her room once as she pulls pajamas for her drawers and heads to a door near the window.

"I'm just going to get changed so make yourself comfortable." she says to me with a smile, gesturing at the double bed. She walks into the bathroom and I hear a click as the door locks behind her.

I go to the side of the bed and strip off my chinos and shirt for the second time that day, and climb I to the bed in my boxers. The blankets were warm and fluffy and smelt like her. I inhaled deeply, enjoying the scent. Kate walks out of the bathroom in a pair of short pajama pants covered in spots and a plain white tee. She climbs into the other side of the bed and snuggles down, flicking off the bedside light. I move towards her, putting my arms around her waist and kissing her forehead gently. She snuggles deep into my arms.

"Goodnight Liam" she whispers.

"Goodnight Kate." I say before we drift off to sleep.
