Once that the U.N.S.C had retrieved the queen from the south pole and decided to transport it to a uninhabited planet but the only structure was a research base back in the war with the Covenant it was still operating but the ship with the queen was attacked by a Covenant ship it seems they there is still some fighting the humans. Spartan X had gotten into a ship and went to help the cargo ship to get rid of its in wanted guests. Once that the numbers were low enough the ship had left in to slip space unknowingly were it had gotten orders to attack the ship but they had to resume with the task at hand to transport the queen. Within several hours they had arrived at the research station but once that we did there was no response then the queen broke free from her restraints they did not want to retrieve her which was a big mistake. Once that they entered the research base they started to track down the queen but as soon as the radars lost track of it all signs of it was gone. Several hours later the queen had its egg sack and started to lay eggs in some caverns that is 36 miles away from the research base. Spartan X was called off world to help with a rebellion on a planet that was sixteen thousand miles away from the planet's location. Six days after the queen was on the planet the research base had lost contact with the rest of the U.N.S.C they had gotten a video recording before they went offline it showed an elite with the Xenomorphs.

After that all contracts had became unsuccessful they had to send Spartan X and his team to the planet to help reestablish contact. But outside of the planet's surface was covenant ships but they were destroyed from an unknown weapon it was destroyed a similar way on how the Eagle was destroyed.
