Meeting Her (Unedited 2019)

Scarlett's P.O.V~

A few years later after Uncle Ben took me and my sister into his home, we went out on patrol with him to a nearby town call Magnolia/ The city of flowers. When we got there, we saw that the town was frantically trying to fend off the corrupted as a particular building burst into flames from upon a hill that over looked the town. A boy ran from the house and away from town.
"Wait!" I shouted before sprinting towards the hill.
"Scarlett! Wait for us!" Jade hollered to me as they they followed close behind. Once at the top of the hill, I looked around.
"Where did he go? I could've sworn that he was just here!" I mumbled to myself before slowly looking over at the collapsing home. To my surprise; a little girl, around five or so years old came stumbling out of the rubbish. Her white dress, soaked in blood.
"Holy shit! Are you ok?!" I panicked at the sight of the weak and injured girl as I rushed over. She only gave me a pleading look; as though she was desperate for something. Uncle Ben came up beside me and looked almost as shocked as I was. The girl collapsed on the spot and seemed to be having trouble breathing.
"What should we do? We can't just leave us here." I ask. Watching the frail girl's chest move up and down in short but fast breaths.
"We will take her with us; but first, we should check the home for any more survivors." Uncle Ben responded as he made his way into the unstable building. It started to rain on the now silent and remnants of the town as the corrupted walked the streets. Minutes pass before Uncle Ben came back out of the house.
"Any luck?!" I quickly ask as I held the girl gently in my arms. Uncle Ben shook his head, looking pained and frustrated.
"Both of her parents are dead. They were murdered." He looked me straight in the eyes as he told me the shocking news.
"Where's Jade?" He asks.
"She went back into the town to search for any more survivors." I reply. My expression turning to worry as I looked back at the town.
"She's been gone for awhile." I added before looking back at him.
"Scarlett! I've found another little girl!" Jade yelled. Over joyed that she was able to find and save someone's life. I sighed as relief washed over me like a wave. The girl was draped over Jade's shoulder as Jade ran to meet up with us.
The girl Jade found, looked to be around seven years old. Uncle Ben smiled.
"Both of you did good today. I'm proud of both of you. Let's get these two back to the orphanage for imitate medical attention."  He ordered before we hurried home. Leaving the ruins of what used to be a city full of people. Once home, we quickly got the first girl medical attention.
"Did she have wings?" Jade asked as Uncle Ben slowly moved the top part of the dress down, revealing the deep wounds.
"Looks like someone wanted to kill her. She might have been the child of an angel." Uncle Ben states as he studied the wounds.
"B-brother....." The small pale girl muttered in her sleep as she shed small tears. I looked at Jade with saddened eyes.
"Can they stay with us? There isn't any home for either of them to go to." I ask suggestively as I lightly grabbed one of the sleeves of Uncle Bens tarnish shirt.
"They are welcome to but-" Uncle Ben was cut off by the girl's sudden awakening. Her forest green eyes staring at us. Her dirty blonde hair falling off her shoulders like silk on a smooth surface.
"Your finally awake!" I gasp in excitement before hugging my sister and giving a huge grin. The girl cocked her head to the side in confusion.
"I....I........ survived? How? He was going to kill me." The girl asked in shock as the tears streamed down her face in fear, pain and sadness.
"Mother..........Father!" She cried out, unable to stop herself from crying by this point. I only stood there in shock. Uncle Ben was right; her parents were most likely murdered.
"Um........ Is it ok if I ask what your name is?" Jade curiously but cautiously asked the girl. The girl took a minute to calm down before responding.
"My name is Ashley Silver Moon." She claimed. Everyone went silent.
"That means your parents were." Jade gasped. Ashley averted her gaze and nodded.
"The forbidden couple Astro and Melody. The rulers of Neveh and Hell." I exclaim aloud before quickly covering my mouth. Everyone had heard of the story of the forbidden couple that fell in love. The two sides were never supposed to meet, so the young rulers and lovers decided to turn themselves human so that they could be together, no matter how long they would live as humans. They would be together. The girl looked as though she was going to be hit if she responded.
"It's ok. We won't hurt you. We're going to be like family here. Just think of us like your sisters and Mr. Ben as your Uncle Ben." I say with smile. She looked at the others for their thoughts. Everyone smiled and or nodded in agreement. Her eyes pricked at the corners with tears before she smiled and nodded.

"Thank you all!"
