He knew the second he stepped into the old warehouse that things weren't going to go as he planned. So why the hell had he gone in? Maybe it was the fact that he had a bad day and just needed any distraction he could find. Maybe it was the fact that no one had listened to him when he said he could handle it. Maybe it was the fact that him and Jason had gotten into a fight the day before and he hadn't come home yet. He hadn't called, or texted. Dick had told him that Jason just needed to let off some steam and then he would be back and things would be fine. He had even cracked one of his 'Lovers Quarrel' jokes, he made them even though he knew the two weren't dating. So why on Earth did he have to go out alone?
A few hours prior, the Bat-computer had gone off saying that the Joker had been spotted in a downtown area. Tim clenched his jaw as he saw the feed come in of The Joker, it was like he was taunting him, begging him to leave and come after him. Tim quickly stood up and hurried over and grabbed his utility belt, wrapping it around his waist and clipping it in the front. He checked it over to make sure he had everything he'd need, he looked at the line of glass vases that held all of their old suits. He sighed as he looked at his, he shook his head and pressed a button on his belt. A few minutes later his bike sped up and stopped in front of him, he loved that feature. He was out of the cave and in the city in record time. Tim quickly drove to the warehouse off of third street, he parked his bike in an off shot of a nearby alley, hiding it behind a dumpster. As he pulled his grappling hook from his belt, he looked around to make sure no one saw him as he shot up onto the roof. He flipped in midair and landed on his feet in a crouching position. He stood up straight and looked around, clipping the grappling hook onto the side of his belt.
There was an air conditioning unit not far from where he stood, he smirked to himself as he went over to it and pulled off the cover. He skillfully pulled the blades from the sides of the metal box and slipped in, making no noise at all. Tim climbed through the ventilation system and towards the main room, he carefully pushed the cover off and climbed out, setting it back over the hole. He looked around, trying to locate where the Joker was, there was no way he had left. He walked forward and looked around, trying to locate where the Clown Price of Crime had gone, he walked faster going into another room. Maybe that had been his downfall, the fact that he was so clouded by anger that he didn't hear the foot steps behind him, or the clink of metal only a few feet from where he stood, maybe it was how fast his heart was racing. The fact that his hands were shaking and adrenaline rushed through his veins. All he could remember was the sharp pain in the back of his head as he fell to the ground, his eyesight going hazy until he blacked out.
Tim slowly blinked his eyes open and groaned, his head was pounding and he could hear a faint ringing noise in his ears. He was sitting down and his wrists hurt, he tried to stand up but he couldn't, and that's when the panic set in. His hands were tied behind him and he couldn't get out of what appeared to be a metal chair. No matter how much he tried to get out of his bonds he just couldn't, he groaned as he blinked his eyes as they started to focus again. Tim was still in the warehouse, someone must have jumped him from behind. Suddenly there were footsteps coming from behind him, heading his way. Tim fought harder on the restraints as he tried to get away, the person seemed to be pushing a metal cart of some sort. It stopped a bit behind him and someone grabbed his hair tightly and yanked his head back.
As he looked up his eyes widened as he looked into dark, evil green eyes, The Joker. he let out a laugh as he watched Tim hiss in pain as he pulled harder, "I was so glad when i heard you were dropping in. You always were my favorite bat brat." He said as he threw his head forward, letting go of his hair. The Joker walked in front of him with his hands on his hips, "I must say, i expected more of a fight from you. Maybe Batsy has gotten old and cant make 'em like he used to. What a pity. But don't worry! I'll be sure to have loads of fun with you!" He said as he laughed darkly, he grabbed Tim's face roughly and pet it, "When I'm done with you, they wont even be able to recognize you! Maybe that will put the spring back in the old Bats step!" He smiled brightly as he went behind him.
