Chapter 9
Tuesday rolls around quickly. The day passes quickly, and so does the night. Midnight comes along as Kylie and I collapse on the bed.
"It's been such a long day!" Kylie says, curling up close to me.
I laugh. "It's not over yet! Happy birthday Kylie," I whisper, kissing her.
"Thanks Lex," she responds, kissing me back. "What's the plan, anyways?"
I shrug. "I dunno. Why don't we go for a walk though? See Disney at night!"
She laughs. "Are we even allowed to do that?"
"This is Disney! There are no rules here!" I tell her.
I pull her to her feet and lead her out the door. We spend the next little while wandering around the deserted Disney park. Kylie clutches to my arm. "Everything okay?" I ask.
She shrugs. "Yeah. It's just so weird!"
I laugh. "It is."
I get a text from Jace at 2:30. 'Show's at 3. Be at the spot!'
'You got it!' I text back.
I guide Kylie to the waterfront. Jace and Ryan told me where to be so that we'd be able to see everything perfectly. I had everything planned out. Flyzik and Kuirly were waiting in the background with cameras so that I could get the moment recorded in video and in pictures.
It was exactly 3 am when the first firework went off. "What's going on Alex?" Kylie asks me.
I smile. "Just wait!"
A few more fireworks go off, filling the sky with bright lights. Some fall like stars shooting across the night sky. I count the fireworks silently in my head. When I count the 5th, I motion for the guys to start recording and taking pictures. The 6th goes off and I hold my breath. My heart pounds as I wait for the 7th, and final firework to go off.
I watch as the final fireworks shoot up. A smile spreads across my face as words explode across the sky.
'Happy Birthday Kylie!
Love Alex'
I wrap my arms around Kylie's waist from behind. I lay my head on her shoulder as she gasps. She turns her face to meet mine. "Happy birthday Kylie," I breathe.
I see the tears welling in her green eyes. She turns towards me, wrapping her arms around my neck, and kisses me with force. I lift her off the ground and return the kiss with just as much force. "Was I right? Was the surprise worth it?" I ask her softly.
She smiles up at me. "Absolutely!"
We turn back and watch the remains of the fireworks as they fall to the ground. The guys silently hand me the cameras and head back to their hotel rooms. I slide them into my pocket.
I pick up Kylie bridal style and carry her back to the room. I place her on the bed and try to stand back up. She catches the front on my shirt and pulls me down on top of her. She wraps her arms and legs around me, kissing me over and over. I return every kiss.
She pulls at the bottom of my shirt and breaks the kiss long enough to pull it off. I pull hers off in one swift motion. She quickly flicks the button of my jeans and unzips them. I shimmy out of them and kick them to the floor. I pull Kylie's jeans off as quickly as I can.
"If you thought that night in the bathtub was something, you are in for a treat," she purrs.
I bite back a moan. "I think I'm ready."
She smiles sexily as she flicks the waistband of my boxers. "I sure hope so."
