Alexa's POVMy alarm blares at me, making me jolt up and smack it off the table. It's a Monday, and I'm going to be back at school. Damn it's good to be back.
And if that confuses you, let me tell you all about it. About a year ago, my dad came back from Europe and decided to take us for vacation and take us where he works, but my mom loved it a little bit too much, so I had to miss a whole school year. I was away from home, away from friends and school. I gotta admit, it was stressing, but throughout that whole year I managed to still keep in touch with most of my friends... most
But I wouldn't let that get in the way, I just returned home this weekend, still catching up for the enrollment. My parents managed to talk to the principal, and they agreed to me to still be with my batch.
I missed junior year, but I got some studying while in Europe. Even though I've told my parents that what I've learned is nothing compared to a whole year of school, they still insisted to tell the principal that I got homeschooled for one whole year and that they're sure that I would be able to catch up.
Since my parents are the king and queen of convincing and persuading, they eventually got the hesistant Mr. Brown to agree. So I'm still qualified to be a senior. I was completely fine about being a junior this year, since I did miss it. But oh well, mom and dad do know what's best, so even though I wasn't sure about their decision, I just decided to go along with it.
"Alexa? Wake up honey, your first day of school is waiting."
I heard my mom said by the other side of the door. She always wakes up early, greeting us with her jolly voice every morning, making sure we're happy when starting the day.
"Yes mom, I'm up."
I said, informing her.
"Breakfast's in ten. Get ready."
"I'll be right there!"
I yell back, smiling as if she could see.
I open my window, with the scent of my mom's pancakes overtaking my room, tempting me to come down. But I have to get ready.
I hop out of bed, going straight to bathroom to take a shower. I don't wanna smell on the first day of school.
I hop out of the shower, drying myself up. I wrapped my head in a hair towel, remembering what my mom said about my water droplets falling from my hair, how it can be "dangerous." At first I didn't listen to her, until I slipped and cut my foot in the bathroom. It was horrifying, I was twelve, and I got eight stitches around the cut. I never forgot to wear a towel over my head ever again.
I walked out of the bathroom, and to my closet.
You better look good, you don't want any bad impressions after coming back a year later.
I exhaled, "Right." I said in between my breath.
After what almost felt like hours of searching, I finally found a decent outfit to wear.
A black skater skirt, paired with a maroon collared top. And for the shoes, I chose plain stylish combat boots. Feeling like the skirt would be too revealing, i added black fishnet stockings in the mix. It looked like a mix of nerdy with a bit of goth, I thought, but as long as I give a different type of vibe, it wouldn't seem too dark or too nerdy, right? After finshing preparing my things and fixing up, I went downstairs and into the kitchen, revealing the beautiful feast on the kitchen table.
"Oh my god."
I almost gasped, amazed by the beauty in front of me. I love food. I heard my mom chuckle, while setting three cups of orange juice on the table. The aroma of fresh pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs, made me lose myself. I was about to cry.
"Alexa, dear, why are you so extra?"
My mom asked. I laughed as she laughed with me, I love her.
After the best meal of my life, I let out a giant burp that filled the kitchen.
"Oh god, mind your manners, you're a young woman now."
My dad says, keeping his eyes on his phone as he's texting. I chuckle, but I stop when a thought crosses my mind.
Dad has been on his phone too much these past few weeks, what's with him?
I shrugged the thought off and just convinced myself that it's probably just work. I grab my bag from under the table and kiss mom and dad goodbye, excited but nervous at the same time. I'm back home, and I'm going back to school. Oh boy.
"Have a good day Alexa." My dad says as I hug him.
"Good luck honey!" Mom yells as I walk out the door.
"Thanks mom!" I yell back
This is it.
I thought,
I'm back.
I stand frozen, right outside the gates of school. With students pushing past me, giving me looks, as if confused as to why I was right in the middle of the way. I snap back to reality and walk in.
By the halls I try to find my class for first period, looking at my schedule. While walking, I bump into someone, making them drop their books down the floor. Without looking at them, I immediately bend down and pick up all their books. But as I was grabbing each book from the floor, I see something surpring, and disgusting at the same time. A condom, in between one book. I ignore it and stand up to give it to the person.
"Hey, I'm sorry, here's your-" I looked up, and immediately I was hit by shock.
It's him. The boy I haven't kept in touch with, the boy I did something despicable with, right before I left.
The boy I gave my body to.
