The Mermaid Siren (Book one)

Chapter four

     "I don't know what to say," I say, I really don't. I've never met someone like me before.
    "You don't have to say anything," Sara says as she stands up and helps me up now that our legs are back.
     "Do the others know?" I ask "I mean Jimin and them."
     "Yeah," Sara reply's "they do."
     There's a knock on the door. "Come in!" Sara says and the door opens. It's Jimin.
     "Everything ok?" He asks with a concerned expression on his face.
     "Yeah," Sara reply's "why?"
     "I heard someone fall," he reply's.
     "Oh that was me," Sara says quickly "I tripped."
     "Ok," Jimin says "be careful." He closes the door behind him as he leaves.
     I look at Sara. "I thought you said they knew?" I ask.
     "They do," Sara reply's "but they don't know YOU are."
     True, I haven't told anyone besides her not even my MOM.

     After Sara and Jimin drop me off at home I tell my mom everything, I leave out the mermaid part though.
     "That sounds like fun!" She exclaims when I'm done.
     "It was," I say "even if I stayed in Sara's room most of the time."
     My mom chuckles. "Why don't you go take a bath and get ready for school tomorrow."
     "Ok" I say and head to my room.

     After in done with the bath (which takes longer than usual) I pick out my clothes for tomorrow. A cat hoodie crop top, convers, and a black hoodie with roses. I go down stairs, say goodnight to my mom, and go to bed. Can't wait for tomorrow!!

     "Hey Sara!" I say and give her a hug during lunch.
     "Hi," Sara says "good to see you again!"
     "You saw me during second period!" I exclaim with a laugh.
      Sara laughs. "I know, you still up for the swim later?"
     "Of course I am!" I exclaim smiling. This is the first time I can actully spend time with someone who's like me.

     Later that day I wait for Sara on the beach. Where is she? I've been waiting for eighteen minutes. What if she doesn't come at all? I mean she should have a good explanation for it.
     I get up and walk back up to my house. Guess she was busy.
     At school the next day I ask her why she wasn't there.
     "Sorry, I had to help Jimin and the group with the song their working on" she reply's.
     "And you didn't think to invite me?" I ask joking around.
     "Don't worry you'll come to their concert" Sara reply's with a laugh.
     One of their concerts, cool! Even though I've been to all of their concerts.
