"What are you?" Ellie repeats again.
I look down in horror. "I don't know what happened."
"Well you obviously should!" Ellie shouts "how could you not tell me about this?"
     "I didn't know!" I reply in shock.
"How?" Ellie asks as if she can't believe me right now,"how could you not know?"
"Because I didn't know!" I reply face turning red.
"You know what," Ellie says "I'm done."
"Why?" I cry "what did I do wrong?"
"Because your a FREAK Hailey," Ellie reply's "That's why."
Hot tears sting my eyes. "How could you Ellie I trusted you! You were my only friend!"
"Then find new ones!" Ellie shouts and walks back to shore.
I try to hold back my tears but they come rolling down my cheek. Why is Ellie acting like this? She's-was my best friend! I think for a while, did the teletubies do it?
I look down at my tail. It's a bluish-grayish tail color. I look to shore and see Ellie walking away. I drag myself to shore. Will I be like this forever? Once I get to shore I wait for a few minutes and my legs come back. Thank the gods! I get up and put my clothes over my bathing suit, tears still falling down my cheeks. I try to wipe them away but they just keep  coming.
Once I get to my house I immediately run upstairs to my room and close the door.
"Sweetie?" My mom says from the other side of the door, "how was your time at the beach?"
"Terrible!" I sob and my mom comes in.
"What happened?" She asks concerned sitting down next to me.
"Ellie betrayed me!" I reply tears still falling down my cheeks.
"Oh, sweetie, it's going to be fine," she says trying to sooth me and putting he arm around me, "you can just make new friends."
     "That's the thing," I say "I can't."
     "Why?" My mom asks.
"Because no one wants to be my friend!" I exclaim crying even more.
"Well if there's any new kids that don't have any friends you can try being friends with them," my mom suggests.
"I guess..." I say wiping the tears away from my face.
"Good," my mom says and stands up "dinners almost ready."

The next morning I wake up and get ready for school. I head down stairs eat breakfast, say goodbye to mom, and head out the door. I usally sit with Ellie on the bus but since what happened yesterday I sit near the back.
"Is this seat taken?" I ask a seventh grade girl.
She looks at me. "All yours" she says, gets up, and sits somewhere else.
I sigh and sit down. Just like I said, no one wants to be my friend. I just sit there listening to the others laugh and talk with other people.
We get to school and I get off the bus last. I head towards my locker to grab my notebooks and see Ellie. I wince but still  go to my locker anyways. She gives me a disgusted look and closes her locker. I sigh, today is going to be really hard. I close my locker and head off to class. Luckily Mrs.Dellia changed seats. I find my seat and sit down. I twiddle my thumbs looking down.

On my way to lunch an eighth grade girl comes up to me.
"Hey your Hailey right?" She asks me. Huh?
"Um, yeah," I reply suprised. Since when does that happen?
"Your a nerd," she simply says "no one likes you or wants to be your friend and Ellie never wanted to be your friend she was just pretending."
"Hey!" A voice says from behind her "leave her alone!" There's a girl that's in sixth grade the same grade as me she has black hair, brown eyes, is wearing a pale pink dress with tight underneath it, and purple convers.
"What are you going to do about it?" The eighth grader scoffs.
"I'll tell Principle Sanders that your bullying kids and have you suspended or even transfered to another school," the girl reply's smirking with her arms crossed.
The eighth grader just stands there with her mouth open. She turns to me. "You got lucky this time" she scowls and walks off.
     "Thanks," I tell the girl.
"No problem," she says and hold out her hand "I'm Sara."
"I'm Hailey," I say and take her hand and we shake.
I now notice that she's Korean.
"I don't mean to be rude," I say as we walk towards the cafeteria, "but Um,  where are you from?"
"Oh, I'm from Korea" she reply's with no sign of feeling offended.
"That's cool," I say "North or South?"
"South" Sara reply's. Wait... South Korea... I wonder if she knows BTS she probably does though.
"Do you know BTS?" I ask hopefully.
"Yes!" She reply's "Jimin's my cousin!"
