That merl didn't kill Serafina! I screamed in frustration. This merl is unbeatable. I also knew if Mahdi is to wake up Sera would wait a few days before going back to her realm. I ripped a map off of a wall causing all of the pins in it fall to the floor. There was only one thing left to do. Hurt that friend of Serafina's. Only I didn't know how.

I had no questions, and no plan. The only thing I could think of was somehow getting Serafina and Mahdi into hiding. Maybe putting them in my dungeon once I take the throne.

As I let my rage subside I look at one of the maps I hadn't torn off of the walls. There were about six pins in it. One in each realm. I I remember these are the locations of all Sera's friends. I knew were three are. Which left Atlantica, Qin, and Freshwaters.

Questions begin to flood into my mind. I straighten my jacket and swim out of the room. Down the hall is that merl's room. Taking the keys from the guard stationed at her door I unlock it. She's sitting down on a small bench. One of her wrists is cuffed to the foot of the bench. There is also an iron cuff around her neck.

Her back is slouched against the back wall, and her head is down. She pokes her head up when I swim in. There is no need for escape, she is not worried, there is nothing in her eyes but wonder. That wonder is why I am here.

"I was wondering if you were ever going to come in here," she says.

"Well I have a few questions for you," I say my voice even.

"That explosion? Good job, but you'll have to try harder than that."

"No I won't. You see my scouts found Sera's and Neela's bodies at the site of the attack." It was a lie but it was a lie that could weaken her to give me what I want.

She just scoffs. "Nice try Lucia. I know they're not dead."

"You're wrong. They're bodies have been found by my scouts they're dead."

She just laughs some more. "You see Lucia there's this thing I have. I can feel when anyone in this spell dies. Sera and Neela are in this spell. Sorry to break it to you but either your scouts are lying to you, or you're just saying crap to get me to break. That isn't going to work on me."

I smile. "I guess you are smarter than I thought."

"Well I did survive a few weeks in Orfeo's mansion with him. You learn a few things."

"Yes you do. But I have other ways to make you talk."

"Oh?"

She was genuinely beginning to scare me. The fact that she was still so cool. She showed no sign of fear. Not in her posture, not in her look, not in her eyes. There was nothing now. She knew how to guard herself.

"Let's see. I have inside information that you have feelings for Des, Sera's older brother," I say.

Her posture stiffens. I was getting to her now.

"Oh?"

"I also have inside information that Des was asleep about an hour ago. One little accident and he's done. That's exactly what I'll do if you don't talk."

It looks as if she's genuinely contemplating this. She sits back even more on the bench, and folds her arms. "Okay. I see the angle you're playing Lucia. You want to break me so I will give you all the information in the world. That's not going to work on me. I've lived my entire life sheltering everything, and not afraid to lose everything that I held dear. You're going to have to try harder."

I slap my tail against the wall. I swim up and choke hold her. There is still nothing in her eyes.

"Give me what I want," I say.

She moves her hands and begins to break free of my grasp. She twists my arms behind my back and gets close to my ear. "Try that again let's see what happens then. I don't need a weapon, and I don't need magic, and it doesn't matter if I'm chained to this bed or not. I will never give you the information you need to take down Serafina," she whispers darkly into my ear.

She throws me forward letting go of my arms. I rub my wrists where her hands were. They have her fingers marked in red. I give her a look that says there will be consequences. I turn and swim out of the room again, locking the door again.

The guard stands there staring at me.

"What are you looking at? Back to your post!" I yell.

He jumps and swims back to his post. I swim in the opposite direction, back to my room. There was no way to get anything out of her. Before getting to my room I turn around and swim to Hena's room.

Bursting through I ask, "Where's that girl's belongings? I need them."

"On the shelf. Didn't get anything?" Hena asked throwing her dagger at something on the wall to my left.

"No. I'm hoping there's something I could use out of her belongings to make her talk."

I pick up the bag with the Miromaran crest on it. Hena throws a knife again, and I turn to see what she's throwing at. It's a drawing of Serafina. There are knives on either side of her face, and one through her chest.

"I didn't know you are that devoted to killing Serafina," I say.

"She killed my sister. I'm going to kill her," Hena said lining up another shot.

"When it comes down to killing her there will be nothing stopping you. But we have to wait until the perfect moment to kill her."

"Fine with me. As long as I can send a dagger through her, and I can watch her bleed out."

Hena sends the dagger flying through Sera's head. Good luck surviving me this time Serafina.
