After the fiasco of Naruto and his sexy jutsu (and after I hit naruto for being sexist) we headed outside for our scheduled ninja training.
Iruka: Ok class today we will be continuing to throw our stars and kunai. Let have six students on each side and the other will wait for their turn. You have exactly ten minutes to practice and the last five minutes I will grade your performance
The kids around me groaned as Iruka started calling out the names of the first twelve students.
Iruka: Sasuke, Naruto, Hinata, Shikamaru, Choji, Ino, Kiba, Shino, Sakura, Yuri, Kiri, (because I couldn't come up with two other names) and Moriah
Naruto: ugh, this is stupid. Why can't we do real ninja stuff
I fell back on the ground by his comment and began rubbing my temples. Naruto looked over my body to give me a confused look as I just stared at him like he lost his mind.
Mo: Naruto this is real ninja stuff. Every shinobi needs to know how to aim correctly in case they must kill someone from afar and other things
Naruto: yea well I already know how to aim and throw, I wanna do something else
Shikamaru and choji walked over to us and surprisingly, pineapple head helped me up.
Shika: Doesn't matter what you want Naruto, everyone needs to practice. Even if you're a Jonin, they practice every day to stay on top of their game. Besides, your aim isn't all that great either. You need more practice than everyone else
Naruto crossed his arms and groaned in annoyance walking over to his post. We all shrugged as we went to our own post; mine, being next to Naruto. We began throwing our ninja stars, well the class did, I just watched Naruto. I didn't want to make him feel bad if I started throwing perfectly; because right now, he only got a star on the post and it was hardly inside the circle. Naruto started groaning as he kept throwing and missing and once he threw all five of his stars, he ran over to the post and picked them all up from the ground. My eyes scanned everyone else, and they were all doing better than Naruto. What caught my interest was the Uchiha who was getting all his stars in the circle smacked in the middle (if that was possible). I was then met with piercing black eyes against my brown ones. The Sasuke kid started glaring at me and I raised my eyebrow at him, confused as to why he was glaring at me. "What did I do to piss this kid off?" I thought and glared back at him. For a second, his reaction changed to shock but I couldn't see thoroughly since brat one and brat two blocked out my visual from him.
Sakura: why are you looking at my Sasuke?
Ino: your Sasuke? You mean my Sasuke
I started to roll my eyes as the two bickered about who Sasuke belonged to. A big aggravated sign (#) started growing on my forehead as my patience started to get thin.
Mo: Can you guys, for once, leave me alone. I'm trying to practice here and for the record, I wasn't staring at your beloved Sasuke. I rather drown then stare at the duck butt
I said as they both gave me a surprised look. They huffed in disbelief and walked away without another word. I heard a giggle come from Naruto and I smiled at him, while grabbing my stars from my pouch. Bringing my arm back for my throw, I made sure to loosen my arm to throw off my aim. I leaned forward with enough power to release the star, missing the post and into the pushes. I sighed in frustration and went to retrieve the star, hearing Naruto's little snickering. I then heard those two brats speaking to each other about how bad my throw was and all that nonsense of not passing the final exam. "It's for the best, Moriah. You can't out shine Naruto like that, I wouldn't be a good friend" I thought as I picked up all my stars and went back to the post. Iruka-sensei was walking around with his clipboard, looking at the students' performances. He stopped at Naruto's and I's position and I already could feel the pressure weighing on my shoulders. Naruto looked at the post with determination and steady his stance, already failing at his posture. I sighed as I heard the stars fly and hearing the bushes rattle. Naruto groaned and pouted as Iruka-sensei shook his head slightly while writing something down on his clipboard.
Iruka-sensei: Naruto, do you even want to pass?
Naruto: I do but the stars are not working
I face palmed myself as I heard some kids snicker with remarks. A tick mark started growing on my forehead again as I felt steam pouring out of me.
Iruka-sensei: you're not trying hard enough. If you want to continue to goof around, that's fine by me. I have other students to teach, so don't waste my time
My eyes widen a bit at how Iruka-sensei talked to Naruto like he was a good for nothing student. I saw Naruto's eyes sadden a bit and slumped his shoulder in depression. I bit the inside of my cheek from yelling at this so-called cheater. "How dare Iruka-sensei talk to a student like that? He's supposed to be encouraging us to do our best, not drop us like flies with irreverent words" I thought. Gripping my stars in hand in anger, I glared at the floor once Iruka-sensei was done writing. "Do I risk losing points for Naruto or do I show off my perfect aim?"
Iruka-sensei: ah Moriah, I should expect wonderful things from you because of how well you were taught. Can you please show naruto how to correctly throw?
I sighed and released the grip I had on the stars, feeling the red liquid drizzle down my hand to the dirt floor. I looked at him with a small smile on my face and nodded, getting into my familiar stance I was taught for years. I closed my eyes and focused my strength in my arm; opening my eyes and threw the star. I heard the wood make a bump and heard gasp erupted around me. I opened my eyes and saw that my star was completely off target and was hanging on the top of the wood, until it fell. Giggles erupted the courtyard as I rolled my eyes at their maturity. I looked at Iruka-sensei's surprised face as he started at me in shock.
Mo: whoops, guess it slip
I shrugged as I saw a glare coming from his penetrating eyes and wrote something down on his board. I looked over at Naruto who was confused to the events that occurred. I winked at him and shrugged it off, receiving a smile from the whisker boy.
Iruka-sensei: I guess I was wrong about you. Hanging with Naruto has corrupted your mind Moriah, the Hokage would be very disappointed in you
I sent a glare at the retreating sensei and picked up m stars from the ground. I heard footsteps coming towards me, seeing some familiar shoes come into my view. I looked up to see a disturb Choji and a confused Shikamaru.
Shika: why'd you do that, Moriah? We both know you have a perfect
My eyes widen and I pushed my hands forward to cover his mouth. I glared at him as Naruto came walking to us, a confused frown bestowed on his face.
Naruto: what was that Shikamaru?
I gave Shikamaru a warning look and released my hands from his mouth. He rolled his eyes at me and shoved his hands in his pockets like always.
Shika: nothing, I said nothing
Choji and Shikamaru strolled away without another word, leaving me with a still confused Naruto.
Naruto: what was that about?
Mo: he was talking about some ninja movie
Iruka-sensei: come on everyone, let's get back to the classroom. I've seen enough today
I rolled my eyes while naruto groaned in sadness, looking at the ground while pouting.
Mo: hey Naruto cheer up, Iruka-sensei is just a mean old fart because he can't go on missions anymore
Naruto started giggling and I smirked at my remark while we headed back to the classroom. But not before we started making jokes about Iruka-sensei's life.
