Chapter 12- Revenge

"Silver, killing Mephiles will not bring you peace." Knuckles said as he places his hand on Silver's shoulder. Silver turned around in determination," I'm not looking for peace anymore." He said back into Knuckles face. They all stood up. "Even if we have the slightest chance of defeating him, how can we? We don't have our Super forms anymore."

"What about a Chaos Emerald?" Tails said. "All the emerald were destroyed along with Eggman, remember?" Sonic pointed out. "Not all of them." Tails commented back. Tails flew down the elevator shaft that's underground. He came back with a steel box. He scanned his eye on it, and it opened up.

There in a glass casing, was a turquoise Chaos Emerald. "Tails, how long have you had this?" Knuckles said. "When eggman's lair blew up, I recovered this and kept it safe." He shot back to him.

There was a loud zooming noise sounding like a jet fighter, except a blue beam shot into the night sky. Opening up a portal. The portal opened bigger and bigger, by the second. " we are gonna try and stop that?!" Amy exclaimed.

"And we can." Shadow replied.

The team spent the next day and a half building planes and weapons. Each plane could hold eight, but three were made. "All right team, get a good night sleep. We launch at dawn!" Sonic yelled. Sonic and Amy went into their jet. They cuddled, and fell asleep.

Rouge and knuckles, went to sleep in their jet. Tails, Cream and Shadow fell asleep on their on plane. And Silver, he wanted to be alone, so he was going to sleep in the nice soft grass. Although no sleep was happening anytime soon. It's the first time in six years he slept alone.

Before Sonic fell asleep, he looked out the window. He saw Silver out there alone. He carefully slipped out of Amy's position, and walked out the back of the jet. "Silver..?" Sonic said as he walked behind him. Silver looked up and saw Sonic walk over.

"Go to bed Sonic. Get some sleep." Silver mumbled. "I can't sleep knowing you're still awake Silver. I understand what you're going throu-" Silver quickly turned over to Sonic and sat up. "No you don't." Silver said in a heartbeat.

"Silver, it's hard. I know it is. When I thought Amy was dead for good, it killed the inside of me. It was like a fire in me." Silver looked up at him and tears began to fall from Silver's eyes. Sonic put his hand in Silver's shoulder. "But you know what?" Sonic said as Silver lifted his head up.

"You're right. This is no longer just fight fight fight. Death is about to happen. Even if it isn't Mephiles. Do you understand that?" Sonic continued. "I'm aware of that. And it will happen." Sonic looked up at him and smiled. "Because we're brothers." Sonic said while smiling.

Sonic and silver hand shook, like how you grasp in arm wrestling. "Get to bed dork." Sonic said playfully. After hearing that, Silver finally was happy to fall asleep, knowing revenge is imminent.

"Everybody up!" Knuckles yelled from the middle of everybody's jets. Everybody woke up excited and pumped. "Everybody positions!" Sonic yelled as everyone ran to their jets and started them up. "Taking off in three, two, one. Liftoff!" Tails said through the wirelessly connected headsets.

"Guys this is no longer fighting, from now on... This is war!" Knuckles said over the mic.
