CHAPTER 8

NASH'S POV

This morning I woke up to Cameron blasting music in his room.

I went in to tell him to shut up, but something was wrong.. he was just sitting at the end of his bed staring at a picture of him and Karley.

"What's wrong man?" I asked.

He didn't respond.

" Cameron..."

" What do you want? " He said rudely.

" Whats your problem?" I said rudely back.

" Karley..."

I knew it.. they've been acting different lately.

" I've been hurting her a lot lately," he said.

" What do you mean by 'hurting'?"

" I've been abusing her, I haven't let her eat. Every time she does something wrong I've been punching and kicking her. " He said with tears coming down his eyes.

I've never seen Cameron cry in the years we've known each other.

" Cam.. why?"

" I don't know... I need your help. I don't know what's gotten into me lately. Please help me Nash... please." He said balling his eyes out.

I didn't know what else do to except say "yes," he's my best friend.

He have me a hug.

I didn't really know how to help Cameron though, he hasn't had the best life and I know that.

But do I go talk to Karley or help him by keeping him calm or just stay out his way?

" How do you want me to help?" I asked him.

" Can you just help keep me calm and keep my mind off of her please?" He replied.

" Of course. "

" Thank you Nash, I'm glad I have a friend like you. " He said finally looking up at me.

" Don't you think you should go talk to Karley?" I asked him.

" I probably should..."

That's when he got up, wiped his tears and walked out of the apartment.

I'm proud of the decision he has made.

I love Cameron, he's my best friend. always and forever.
