Soulmates- Part 3

"So you could see them too right?" He asked Jaemin. Jaemin nodded. "Then why haven't you told Jeno yet?" he whispered. "Because the timing isn't right okay. He's happy right now and I'll let him have that." Jaemin responded. "Even if that means your own happiness?" the boy asked. "Even if that means my happiness." Jaemin nodded. The words sounded as if it were more for him than for the other. "Does Donghyuck or Chenle know?" he asked. Jaemin shook his head "I don't think they'd be able to keep their mouths shut." Jaemin watched as he shook his head "Jaemin, I just hope you're making the right call." Jaemin sadly smiled at him "I hope I am too."

Weeks pass and Jaemin finds himself in confusion. He is happy that his friends found and got together with their soulmates. He is happy that he found his, but he has to push his happiness aside because his soulmate is happy without him.

One day everyone is hanging at Jeno's room and the question pops up. "So what are you guys gonna do when you do find your soulmates?" Chenle curiously asked. Everyone sat in silence awaiting their response. "We've talked about this before." Renjun said. "Yeah, if we happen to meet our soulmate, we'd bave to break up I guess." Jeno continued. "But since we haven't found out soulmate, we will just live in this moment and bask in this happiness." Renjun said after. Shooting Jeno a gentle smile as Jeno shot one back. Everyone nodded. "So what are yourm links guys? And how did u meet your soulmate, if you've found them?" Donghyuck tried to lighten up the mood. The last part made everyone laugh. "Umm us or everyone in general?" Jeno asked. "Everyone, here we'll start from me and go clockwise." Donghyuck stated. "Mine was a timer. Written on my forearm, it beeped exactly all zeros when Mark introduced himself to me." Donghyuck smiled. Mark who sat next to him chuckled. "Mine, was his name written on my palm, the only reason I knew he was my soulmate was because Dongbyuck's glowed when he introduced himself, and because of the tattoos. "My turn." Chenle excitedly said afterwards. "Okay so. I was in the hallway walking and talking to Jaemin and Donghyuck about soulmate links. When they asked me about mine, I was telling them about how mine is a phrase that my soulmate would say. And so they asked me what it said and BAM! That's when Jisung bumped into me and took the words right off my tongue. He said my phrase." Chenle's dolphin laugh could be heard the loudest amongst everyone else's. Everyone found it funny Chenle could put so much detail into that one event. Next was Jisung, everyone looked at him with anticipation. "Mine was... Is being able to see the string of fate." Jisun stated. At this Jaemin froze. So he also knows about this? "Nah man stop playing." Mark said with a playful smile. "I'm serious. After years of not being able to see my string it just kinda showed that day so I was rushing to find who it was. And theat's when I bumped into Chenle. Then I said his phrase and even before he rolled up his sleeve I saw that our strings connected." Jisung finished his story. "Hmm I don't know if I believe you." Mark snickered. "Dude you already know that was my link, you were the one that encouraged me to go find him." Jisung retorted. "I don't know what you're talking about." Mark said innocently. Jisung shook his head and chuckled "Fine just go on with yours Jaemin." he smiled. Jaemin had a moment of hesitation before he said in a auiet voice "I could see the string of fates, like Jisung." After that statement Jaemin saw that Jisung's eyebrows raised, Jaemin saw how Jisung's eyes quickly skimmed Jaemin's pinky and Jeno's. "Oh really? Cool, Jaemin, can I talk to you for a bit." Jisung asked softly as he guestured with his thumb to go out to the livingroom.

And that's how they found themselves in the livingroom talking about Jaemin and Jeno. "So you could see them too right?" He asked Jaemin. Jaemin nodded. "Then why haven't you told Jeno yet?" he whispered. "Because the timing isn't right okay. He's happy right now and I'll let him have that." Jaemin responded. "Even if that means your own happiness?" the boy asked. "Even if that means my happiness." Jaemin nodded. The words sounded as if it were more for him than for the other. "Does Donghyuck or Chenle know?" he asked. Jaemin shook his head "I don't think they'd be able to keep their mouths shut." Jaemin watched as he shook his head "Jaemin, I just hope you're making the right call." Jaemin sadly smiled at him "I hope I am too." With that conversation ending like that comes a new one. They watched as a shocked Chenle emerges from the hallway. Jisung and Jaemin spare worrying looks before rushing over to cover Chenle's mouth before he said anything. Chenle shook their hands off. "Do you guys think I'm dumb enough to say what I heard out loud?" he harshly whispered. "Well..." Jisung started. Chenle feigned being offended. "Well then." he said. Jisung cheekily smiled and hugged Chenle. "So when is the timing gonna be right Jaemin?" Chenle asked. "I don't know. It could be a long time." Jaemin responded. Chenle and Jisung understood shere he came from, but they felt bad for Jaemin, Jeno, and Renjun. "What!" they heard Donghyuck yell. Scared that he too had heared them they waited in the livingroom in anticipation for Donghyuck to come out and bombard Jaemin with questions. But he didn't after a good three minutes. They all walked back into Jeno's room.  "Chenle guess what." Donghyuck asked. "Jeno has the same link as yours. But his sounds so depressing." he made a long face. "What is it?" Jaemin asked. Jeno looked up at him and pulled the sweater sleeve back and everyone saw his phrase. It read " I couldn't because you were so happy, and I was willing to risk my happiness for you." After reading this Jisung, Chenle and Jaemin all shared a worried look. "I just hope I'm not close with my soulmate." Jeno sadly smiled.
