At exactly 1:30, I pulled up down the street close to Chloe's house in my Ferrari (How I got it, I have no idea). I hopped out trudged up the lane. When I got to her house, I slinked around to her bedroom window and tapped on it lightly.
"Chloe! You ready?" I whispered when she popped the latch.
"You bet I am, Andrew," she whispered back. She jumped down from the window with a plop. "Where's your car?"
"It's too loud. I couldn't park it in front of your house or everyone would have woken up."
"Oh yeah. Oops, didn't think on that one," she snorted. We silently made our way back down the street to my car. I started the engine and turned out onto the main road. The next stop was Talon's house. He was an integral part of tonight's plans. It took a few minutes to get there, and Talon was waiting for us. Wow! Talon must have good experience at this. I thought, and that gave me confidence for what was to come.

I pulled up along the road about a five minute's walk from the school.
"Let's do this, guys! I still can't believe we're actually breaking into somewhere," I said anxiously. Talon just snorted and rolled his eyes, but Chloe seemed to be just as anxious as I was. "Loosen up Chloe. You look like someone wants to kill you," I teased.
She punched my shoulder and smirked sarcastically. "Okay, Mr. Tough-guy. I know you aren't nervous at all about this."
I rolled my eyes and gestured to Talon. "Lead on. We're ready for this." He looked at us disapprovingly and turned toward the wall outside of Principal Boser's office. He worked efficiently and quietly on the latch mechanism on the window. Suddenly I heard a pop and the window opened. Talon pulled himself up through the window. Chloe grabbed the windowsill and started pulling herself up, but she lost her grip, and she tumbled back and almost landed on me. Even in the current situation, I laughed.
"That's not funny!" she whispered forcefully, barely able to contain her own laughter. She tried getting through the window again, and this time she made it through unscathed. I pulled myself up after her and took in my surroundings. Principal Boser's office looks weird in the dark, I thought absently, and suddenly realized I should help look for the letter.
"Is this the right letter?" Chloe asked quietly. I took a look at the letter she held up and nodded. Talon stalked over and looked at the letter too, then he glanced down at the desk.
"Should we take this too?" he asked inquisitively. I examined the top paper and saw the WIO label at the top.
"Yes. Grab that whole stack. It should have more useful information," I consented. We looked around for a few more minutes, then we decided we had enough. As we shuffled back to the window, suddenly Talon urgently commanded, "Move!" and jumped in front of Chloe and I. I heard a dull thump and saw the metallic glint of a throwing dagger protruding out of Talon's chest as he gasped and slumped to the ground. "Run. Get out of here! Now. Leave me here."
"No! I'm not leaving you, Talon!" I courageously stated, "We're going to get you to the hospital." Another dull thump sounded and I turned toward Chloe in panic. When I saw she hadn't been hit, I let out a huge sigh of relief and turned back toward Talon. But he was already dead. The dagger had done its damage. I grabbed Chloe by the shoulder and practically shoved her and myself out of the window as a dagger tinkered off of the glass. We sprinted crazily all the way back to where I had parked, not caring whether anyone heard us. I suddenly realized I still had the papers we had found and thought, We got information, but the price definitely wasn't worth it.
Still in too much shock to feel anything, I drove to Chloe's house. She slowly opened the car door. I looked at her, and saw the shock and pain on her face. I placed my hand on her shoulder and squeezed. She halfheartedly smiled and got out. This did not go as planned, I thought to myself as I drove off.
