"Chat! Hide!" I whisper, looking around for a good place rather than the obvious. "Coming!" I yell down the stairs, I grab Chat's hand and lead him to the bathroom, "Turn on the shower! Jump in it if you have to!" "But what if they hurt you?!" "They won't!" I shut the door quickly, and run down the stairs.
"Open the door!" I run up to the door and unlock it, opening it. "Hi! I -um, sorry it took so-..." I look up, it was 2 officers behind....Jake?! How the-when did-what-BUT-"J-Jake?! I mean uh, what's the problem?" I awkwardly laugh. "My team had a call from the place and we need to check your house."
he leans against the door. "*Gulp* For what? I mean, what's going on?" "Well you know that crazy cat dude that used to live on the block over there? Remember he was missing for months and, *ahem* the police station got a call from the (your town) Mental Hospital. They asked us about him and-"
"Get to the point!"
"Fine! They said that according to the crazy thing's records, he never recovered! We're looking for a crazy cat and throw him back in the pound! We searched more than one house ya know" he ruffles my hair.
The 2 officers snicker, laughing. I try not to show any reaction, since I didn't want to look suspicious.
"Okay fine. Just hurry up. If you hear anyone in the bathroom, its a friend of mine showering." I let the officers in, and they begin searching.
"...So he's uh been in the hospital?"
"Yeah that Chat dude. He lost his marbles, apparently they caught on to his act and what the manager is saying, 'Chat could have been acting it out' ya know? To get out?" I had some creepy vibes.
"Especially when they kept seeing him in the newspaper" "They was making fun of him Jake and you know it!" "What?" "Nothing, nevermind."
...later (like a few minutes later)
"Yep you're done." "Kay, bye." "Let's go. Oh and if you see him let us know." he slips in a folded paper in my hand as they all walk out. "Yeah okay" I yawn. "See ya (nickname)" "Shut up." I shut the door and lock it, sliding down a bit. I sigh and walked up to the stairs and went up the stairs.

My ears were on the door, listening. As soon as the police was gone I sighed of relief. I had my tail in my hand as it struggled to get out of my grip.
I went to the mirror, letting go of my tail without realizing it as the shower was making a mist, fogging up the mirrors. I wiped some of the fog off, and stared, "What. The. Fluff?" I looked at my hair. "What happened to my hair?!" black strips of hair was in my head.
I lifted it up and tried to pull it out, but it was my real hair. "No nononononono. This is b-AAAD!!!" I screeched and saw a black spot fade in on the tip of my nose, my tail started to act up again, I grab it and looked back, seeing weird things sticking out of the sides of my nose. "Is it that time of the month again?" (yes Chat that's why you getting them weird mood swings). It couldn't be-"Hey Adrien, look behindyou"
