Days flew by watching your daughter grow older. It seemed like she was just born, but here you are watching her crawl. Watching her take her first steps. Hearing her first words and sentences."Love," was her first word. Although, the pronunciation could use some work with her lack of communication ability, but it was enough to make a lasting memory.
Haechan was offered a job, but it caused him to be gone for long periods of time. You took up a career of your own during a night-shift since you had a daughter to take care of and finding a babysitter could be a challenge.
Sometimes it would really make you worn out and you mentioned it to Haechan one night.
"I can't keep working during the night and spending the day taking care of our daughter. It's really draining me."
Haechan gently held your hands and kissed your forehead. "After I get more involved in this job, hopefully, I'll be able to be promoted to co-manager in no time. Then, I can make my own hours."
You looked deeply into Haechan's eyes.
"I promise you," Haechan continued. "Everything will be just fine. Trust me."
You let a smile surface on your face. "Of course I trust you, Haechan."
He wrapped his arms around you, gently swaying while holding you tight. He occasionally kissed the top of your head to soothe you. "Try to rest as much as you can."
A few days past since and it was about time for your daughter to go to her first day of school. Haechan had the day off and was planning on going with you to take her to school. However, right when you were about to leave, he was interrupted by a call telling him that he needed to come into work.
"I'm really sorry, sweetie," he apologized to your daughter with a comforting hug. "Tell me all about your day when I get back, alright?"
"I thought we would be able to spend this day off together," you told him with disappointment.
Haechan quickly kissed your cheek while reaching for the front door. "I'm really sorry. I promise we'll have one soon. Trust me?"
"Okay," you sighed. Through the door window, you watched him slide into his car and drive off. "I trust you, Haechan."
You continued to say.
At dinner, you seemed to not have the appetite to finish anything. Come to think of it, you've felt this way for a couple of days. The exhaustion and disappoint seemed to be getting to you. Thank night, nausea took you over and you held a few episodes in the bathroom, throwing up all that you've eaten that day.
Haechan came rushing into the bathroom to see you sitting on the cool tile with discomfort. He put a wet washcloth on your forehead and carried you back to bed. "I don't want you going to work tonight," he told you. "You'll get better with rest."
You held your sick stomach and curled up tight, finally agree with his statement. Haechan held you in his arms while you sank back into a deep sleep. The best sleep you've had in a long time.
I trust you, Haechan.
