I still remember the look he had in his eyes as he smirked down at me. His body on top of mine after he had just claimed me as his property again, there's nowhere else I would've wanted to be.
My hands sat on his shoulders as I looked up to him, his hands pressed against the bed to hold him up. His laugh still plays in my ears like a sweet melody, that playful and memorable laugh.
"You're something else..." he smirked as I started to laugh.
"What are you talking about?" I playfully asked. He held my gaze, that smirk never leaving his sweet lips.
"You're just something else." He collapsed to the bed and laid next to me, so I gave him a few more kisses. He looked up at the ceiling and stared, his expression suddenly blank.
"There's no telling what you think of me..." It was my turn to smirk now.
"What I think of you?" I let out a small laugh. "Boy, you drive me crazy." He laid there, and so did I. Silence engulfed us as we both sorted through our own thoughts.
He broke the silence with a heavy "I know." His face turned even more serious all of a sudden. This life we were living? I was unsure of our future together.
You're something else.
I remember his words to this day, wondering if I should be glad I'm different.
