— tattoo with benefits

you looked up at the two neon signs, illuminating the sidewalk with its vibrant colors while displaying the words 'open' and 'tattoo parlor'. it had taken you awhile for you to decide whether you wanted to get some ink on you or not, and yet here you were, in front of a local tattoo shop that a few friends had recommended.

"guk's tattoo shop" was the name.

you sighed before resting your hands on the parlor's door handle. "it's now or never," you said, as you swung the door open. the sound of bells rang throughout the quiet tattoo shop. it's emptiness led you to wonder whether they were really open. in fact, you hoped they were, afraid of being embarrassed to find out they were closed at this time.

you heard a little groan from behind a set of curtains and a voice. "i'll be right there!" the curtains swept to the side, revealing a man, tall with slightly intriguing eyes and ruffled, almond hair, as if he had just woken up from his slumber. he was wearing a simple, black shirt with jeans ripped at the knee. he, himself, were tatted up—the upper part of his right arm occupied with intricate designs, and you assumed there was more on his shoulder, as you saw a bit of it reveal itself under his shirt.

the man observed you with an odd intensity, before scoffing and jerking his head to the side. "at least you're attractive," he mumbled, clearly less frustrated about someone entering his shop this late at night.

"i'm sorry, can you repeat that?" you said with a wide-eyed expression plastered across your face.

"uh- i said, welcome to my tattoo shop. i'm jungkook, and i'll be marking your body today," he said, humorously, "you do know we close in 15 minutes though, right?"

"i apologize, i didn't know-"

"no! it's fine, we're still open," he said, "i just don't expect people to come in at this time, so excuse me for being quite taken aback when you came in." you continued to peer at him, unsure if he wanted you to stay anyway or to come in another day.

in spite, jungkook handed you a clipboard, with some paperwork for you to complete and identification. it was a painful process, but you had it finished quick. "so!" he clapped his hands together, displaying a little more enthusiasm than you expected, and strode towards the service desk, "you have any idea of what you want to be getting today?" you hummed, looking around at the different designs that were displayed on the walls. jungkook even brought out a binder with more to choose from. "take your time, sweetheart, it's not like we close soon," he teased.

"my name's (y/n)," you glared, "not sweetheart." jungkook threw his hands up in defense, muttering a "my bad". you couldn't help but giggle to yourself while you browsed for a couple of minutes before realizing that you had saved some designs in your phone beforehand.

jungkook snickered, "are you taking this long on purpose so you can spend more time with me?"

"if that's what you want to believe, sure," you grinned while you looked down at your phone, browsing through your camera roll for the designs, "but don't expect anything, i'm just simply here for a tattoo." you smirked, and although your head was down, jungkook was able to see that you did, and that subtle smirk was enough to drive his insides insane. however, he was not one to show it, and so, he shook it off, his conscience warning himself not to get worked up over a smug smile. "and i am just simply here to give you that tattoo," he mocked.

you couldn't help but chuckle at his remark. "ah, here it is!" you exclaimed, "i drew this a few years back, and i thought it'd be nice as a tattoo-"

"wait," jungkook interrupted, "you drew that?" he examined the art displayed on the screen of your phone—a pair of skeleton hands with a couple of flowers surrounding it, its fingers pulling at a structure, resembling a wishbone, in between.
