Part Two

December 29th, 2011

I woke up to the annoying business of the city. I crawled from my bed and hopped in the shower. After,  I got dressed, did my makeup and headed out the door. Thinking about it, I wonder why I even wear makeup. Do I need it? Do I hide my insecurities underneath it? I do not know…. I met Jeffery down the block near the park. “I got something to show you!” He said with a warming grin.

We continued down the street side by side. I never really realized how much I enjoyed our friendship. Just me and him, nothing more, nothing less than just friends. “You’re going to love this,” he said. He seemed really excited. I wonder what it could be. It seems like we have done everything in this city. “We’re almost there.” Just then it starts to snow and there were big gusts of wind. “Good thing we are here,” he said happily. “Thank god!” I said relieved. We were staring at this really big skyscraper. “It looks like no one’s here. Are we suppose to be here?” I asked. “Yeah, of course,” he replied.  We walked down the hall way to an elevator. The doors opened and he led me in.

We get into the elevator and shoot up to the 2nd floor. It’s just the two of us in here. The elevator starts to rumble and the lights flicker off. “What’s going on?” I asked nervously, trying to keep calm. “I don’t know,” he replied. In the blink of an eye, the elevator stops and plummets to the lowest level of the building.
