Aliyah
The deafening sound of the crowd fills my ears as I step onto the stage and in front of the microphone. The spotlight blinds me for a few seconds but then my eyes adjust a bit and I'm able to see the mass of people around me.
This many people came to see me and the girls?
It's a question that always runs through my mind every time I see the large crowds that come to our shows. I never thought we'd actually be here on a tour with a few pretty "well known" bands. Or even that we would be considered one of those "well known" bands.
Brandy Moore, lead guitarist, starts to play the first few chords of one of our hit singles, Lauren Mina joining in with the drums and Lola Simpson on bass guitar. I suddenly blurt out the lyrics of the song as if on cue. Before I even process what I'm doing, Lola automatically starts harmonizing with my voice. It's always like this. As soon as I head on stage I'm always in a state of shock for the first couple of minutes for some reason, but then I gradually start to ease up through the rest of the performance. I belt out the last of the lyrics and the song is over before I even realize it. I smile as the crowd claps and shouts and look back at the other girls, just to find them smiling as widely as me. They all give me a thumbs up and I return the gesture. I couldn't ask for better friends.
*Time Skip*
The girls and I walk off of the stage after we thank everyone for coming to the show. We were the last band to perform and I think it went relatively well. Brandy threw her arm around my shoulder, her curly brown hair hitting me in the face. I push her off of me playfully and she sticks her tongue out at me.
"You're no fun." She pouts. "I'll race you to the bus, Lauren!" She then yells after pulling Lauren's, now straight, black hair ( It's actually naturally curly, she only straightens it for shows every now and then) and takes of running down the pavement towards the V.I.P parking lot.
"Fine, but I'll win!" Lauren yells as she starts to run as well.
"They act like they're five or something." Lola says with a laugh as soon as the other girls are out of hearing range.
"I know. Remind me how we got stuck with them?" I asked her, which caused us to both laugh.
"Well, I guess since the show is completely over and I have nothing better to do, I'm gonna go take a shower." She explained with a smile as she took off running towards our tour bus. I sighed and took off my blue jean jacket, the cold night air hitting my skin. I walked the rest of the way to our big black tour bus and waved to the other band members as they sat outside their tour busses as well. I pulled open the door and stepped inside to see Lauren sitting at the table eating pizza, Brandy sprawled out on the couch watching Netflix, and the faint sound of running water as Lola took a shower.
"I'm gonna go for a walk." I told the girls as I slipped on a black jacket. I keep it hanging by the door because I always go on a walk after our performances.
"Okay, but please be careful." Brandy said in a worried tone.
"I will, I promise." I called back with a smile as I made my way back out the door. I stepped out onto the pavement again and made my way around the bus to the sidewalk that led from the main doors of the performance hall, which we just performed at, and to the back parking lot. The show was already over and I was silently praying that everyone had cleared out. I was peacefully making my way down the sidewalk when two girls came storming down it as well. One of them looked really mad, her arms crossed over her chest as complained to the other girl.
Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap.
These were the only words that were running through my mind as I quickly ran behind a bush to hide. If anyone caught me, they'd probably go crazy wanting autographs and pictures, both of which I did not feel like doing right now. I waited until they made it to the parking lot before pulling the black hood of the jacket over my head more and stepping back onto the sidewalk, still not stepping fully into the light until I made sure the girls couldn't see me anymore. I slowly made my way back out, keeping my eyes fixed on the two girls. Which was probably a bad idea because as I did, I ran straight into someone. I screamed as I fell from the impact.
"What the- I'm so sorry!" A deep voice exclaimed as well. The person reached their, rather large, hand out to help me up off of the ground. I looked up at the face of the person, finding a pair of beautiful, chocolate brown eyes with a worried expression staring back into mine.
Oh no.

GrantEarlier this morning, I was informed that I would have the honor of taking my little sister and her friend to a concert later this afternoon. Yay for me. So, here I am sitting in the parking lot of the performance hall, my younger sister, Carly, sitting in the passenger seat beside me, her best friend Madison siting in the back. I would've asked my friend Cody to come, but my mom had only bought three tickets, one for Carly, Madison, and for herself. Then mom had to stay late for work, leaving me to take Carly to this stupid concert.
"Are we gonna go in or not?" Carly asked me, irritation in her voice. If you couldn't tell, she was overly happy for me to be here. I sighed and opened the car door, Carly and Madison doing the same. I locked the car as she walked over to stand beside me. For a fourteen year old, she was definitely tall for her age, which ran in the family. She had her arms crossed over her chest, her usual stance. I started to make my way to the front doors of the performance hall, Carly and Madison lingering close behind me. We finally made it through security and went to take our seats, which just so happen to be towards the very front. I motioned for the girls to head on down the aisle before me. Madison blushing as she realized she was stuck sitting in between Carly and me. Madison has always had a crush on me, but what she doesn't realize is that I know. I just choose to ignore it. After a few minutes of sitting in boredom as Carly and Madison play on their phones, the show finally starts. I roll my eyes and sit back in my seat. This is going to be a long night.

"That was awesome!" Carly exclaims as we exit the performance hall.
"I know right! What did you think Grant?" Madison asks me.
"It was okay." I answer her with a shrug.
"You know what? I wish mom had brought us! She would've at least acted like she slightly enjoyed it." Carly yelled at me as if I'd done something wrong.
"I don't know what you're yelling at me for! Madison here simply asked me a question and I gave her my honest answer. Isn't that right Madison?" I asked her and she looked down at her shoes. Carly stomped off towards the parking lot, Madison following her. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. I definitely understand why Carly was yelling at me. You see, my mom and dad split up a couple of years ago and my mom has really distant. Mom does the best she can to help keep up with all the bills and making sure we have enough money to make it by, which means she has to stay at work all the time. This concert was supposed to be something for Carly and my mom to do, considering they never do anything together. I started to walk down the sidewalk towards the parking lot as well, my mind far from where I was. I suddenly run into someone and hear them yelp as they fall to the ground.
"What the-!I'm so sorry!" I exclaim as realize what is happening. A girl in a black jacket and a white dress with wavy brown hair turns out to be the person I've just so happened to run into. I hold out my hand for her to grab and her stunning hazel eyes slide up to meet mine.
Holy crap
