Niall was looking at me, definitely surprised, but there was a lack of emotion in his face that I had been expecting; him being judgemental.
I felt slightly relieved at that.
When most people are judging you, you can normally tell, by their body language; how they're sitting, the way their eyes are settled on you. But with Niall, he was looking kindly at me, slight sympathy in his eyes, but none of the judgemental looks I was used to receiving.
"I remember watching your audition. You were really good." he chuckled.
I smiled slightly.
"Thanks. I thought the same about you. All of you." I told him, taking a small sip of my tea, which Niall had made for me while I was telling him about the audition.
"I still don't think you only should have come fourth. You deserved to win. You were absolutely amazing. You still are." Niall told me, a sheepish grin on his face.
A blush heated up my face.
"Thanks. But you guys were amazing too. I'm happy to say I came one place behind the world-known One Direction." I joked, nudging his hand with mine.
"So what happened next then? I mean, I didn't really see you two together that much during the show; and I know that I saw a lot of Louis." he joked.
I smiled slightly.
"Well, that's just it..nobody really saw a lot of us..."
"Care to elaborate?" he asked, cocking an eyebrow at me, curious.
I sighed, remembering. How things were. And how even though I didn;t like them; we both pretty much knew that it was the only way that we would really be together.
