Maybe my plan would work out. I had her number and maybe, just maybe, she was right. Swedish Fish do fix everything.
After school, I had finished my homework and I lay on my bed staring at the ceiling. It was painted like the night sky. Constellations dotting it. My phone buzzed.
Hey! What did you think of your first day at Nashton High? Boring, right? -Skylar Harris
I laughed.
Eh, it was fine. -Eliot Sheild
I waited for a response. About thirty seconds later, it came.
Ha, sure. So I gotta go, but see you tomorrow. -SH
Well, I had a friend. I just hoped it would last.
