SUMMARY (no spoilers)

This is:

A story of loss, I guess. Surely many of you might think of another romance story full of kisses and heartbreaks; however, she lost something much more significant and meaningful.

This story is described as:

An intriguing story of a girl who got deprived of the beloved world which she knew and understood.  She no longer found herself surrounded by her company of magical and fantastic creatures, but instead with simple and ordinary humans, which to her meant a need for adaptation in the new technological world.

Personally, I believe that the prologue itself is hooking, as it presents the first shock of the girl when finding herself in the human world.

The book is full of descriptive language and beautiful imagery. (Therefore, tired night workers like me can completely drift over into another world.)

When reading this story you might find yourself slowly dissolving in Leena's story. (Like the sugar in my coffee at 3 AM.)

The sympathy to the character is growing as the story despite being rather fictional can be relatable to the ordinary reader. The fight to adapt to the new environment, as well as fear of losing what you love the most, is surely a human fear. Moreover, we can learn a lot from her story, perhaps take some advice from her monologues and thoughts.

My favourite part of the prologue is: " What did I remember? Agnoy blood, terror, followed by a bright light." Paradoxically this is just the first line of the text, which (because of the successfully used rule of three) is powerful enough to make a reader wonder what caused all of this horrific experiences. Furthermore, the reader suddenly meanders what was the "bright light".

Don't worry though, the story contains some comedy moments too, not making it too difficult to handle Leena's struggles. (Meaning I don't have to cry into my pillow -  I mean, I never cry.)

RATING

18 COFFEE MUGS (for the story) + 3 ROBIN HOOD'S HATS (for the tears)

1 VOTE = 1 COFFEE FOR ME
