I know I'm moody,
I know I'm annoying,
But I hope you'll forgive me
Because, believe me, I'm trying.
You know life's not easy,
You showed me how survival's tough,
But you've also prepared me
For when the storm gets rough.
I know I'm not the best,
Because you deserve a lot better,
But know, whenever you're put to the test,
I'll always be here as your daughter.
And when the world forgets kindness,
And when cruelty wipes out laughter,
I'll be here to remove vileness
Because you did right as a mother.

It's been long, hasn't it? The thing is I can only indulge in poetry when I'm really inspired. That's what I've been lacking I guess : )
Anyway, since it's Mothers' Day, this one's dedicated to my Mum. Wishing all beautiful Moms out there the best Mothers' Day! Thank you for always taking care of us, for all your love.
